As someone who likes both series:
Ace Attorney: better plot, soundtrack, spin-offs and characters.
Danganronpa: better concept, mysteries and visual style.

If I had to rank them it would be:
T&T > AA > JfA > DR2 > SoJ > V3 > THH > AJ > DD.

Love both. Ace Attorney fans will argue Danganronpa is too anime and full of memes when AA does the same shit. Ace Attorney gets more praise for not having a fanbase as "cringe" as Danganronpa does but fujos aren't saints either. Danganronpa also knows when to end unlike Ace Attorney so I kind of respect it more

I've only played the OG trilogy, and so far nothing has been as good as Nagito's Wild Ride.

outside of that, it doesnt matter. I dropped both series after playing and liking the first entries of their respective franchises, but not being able to get into the 2nd games. DR1 ended in a way where I was perfectly fine if it got no sequels, and I wasnt too keen on the first case, and I couldn't stomach the noticeable change in direction for PWAA2's music and the step down in quality coming from the first game. It isnt the fact that the songs in AA are iconic, the DS/3DS version handles the remastering of those tracks in a way better fashion than what AA2 got. I like GBA AA2's OST just fine.

Nigga please Spike Chunsoft have literally confirmed that there are multiple DR projects in work. Look forward to seeing DR4, UDG2 and Danganronpa fighting game in next 5 year.

It's alright, it's a decent retelling of the cases but it skips over a lot of stuff in each case due to time constraints, so a lot of the "deductions" feel like they come out of nowhere.
It does have a couple of anime-only stuff like a flashback episode about Edgeworth and an OC case about Phoenix on a train.

It's shit just like every other VN anime adaptation (minus S;G).

Gnosia, it has gameplay.

I think I prefer the wildness of Danganronpa, but Ace Attorney is still really damn good too. I like the more darker themes and concepts tackled in Danganronpa, the music for Danganronpa is consistently amazing, (Justice for All's OST I dislike a lot, the rest of the games I've played have fallen short in comparison to the first AA game), and the characters are a lot more Indepth than your average AA victim or murderer. Those all hit my buttons in the right ways.

I always hated how the culprit is revealed to the player in AA games, and it could use more actual puzzles. Feels like a straight up VN most of the time. I think that's why I like the AAxPL game the most.

DR has higher highs and lower lows while AA is more consistent. I'd say they're roughly even.
