I asked last thread, but is there somewhere that has consolidated the Sword Monument lines?
Ranni dindu nuffin
godwyn deserved it
praise the moon
Nobody knows why kids love the cinnamon swirl in every bite.
I only managed to find the Second Liurnian War one, right outside of Church of Vows.
>The Second Liurnian War
>No victory for the golden, nor for the moon
>No prize but atonement; the birth of a vow
So do the rules of the GO just stop having any effect once you leave the Lands Between?
so why was maliketh pissed at marika, shouldnt he be upset at ranni for stealing the rune of death? In fact how the heck was ranni supposed to know a soul and body had to die at the same time? was she expected to stab herself and be like, "plz rune of death, kill my flesh but not my soul or something?" Isn't it more likely she just went into the doll first and then started stabbing her old body?
If he was all knowing how come he didn't know I would kill him.
>Hey, wouldn't it be funny if...
Wizards: No sense of right and wrong
>In fact how the heck was ranni supposed to know a soul and body had to die at the same time?
The same way she knew how to steal a fragment of the rune of death and imbue its power into knives and then help Rykard make the Blasphemous Claw. She just somehow knew.
Being a magic craftsman sounds pretty comfy in this game
>so why was maliketh pissed at marika
Probably because she betrayed the GW by shattering the ring, he's a shadow so ultimately he's gonna go bonkers if she betrays the GW.
>In fact how the heck was ranni supposed to know a soul and body had to die at the same time?
She's a witch she probably learned it somewhere dunno
How did she get past Astel?
Been wondering lately if the GW really even had as much of a role in orchestrating the events of the setting as we're led to believe. Feel like the entire Tarnished Pilgrimage is 100% Marika's orchestration and the GW had little agency in the matter.
>Marika banishes Godfrey and his men, taking their grace only to return it to them and their ancestors in the far future, setting up the Tarnished
>All signs lead to her creating Melina who would aid the Tarnished in burning the Erdtree when it inevitably rejects them
>Tarnished is conveniently sent to Farum Azula after said burning with no explanation to confront her brother who has the last necessary piece of repairing the Ring, the Rune of Death
We are led to believe by the Two Fingers that the Greater Will is the one guiding the Tarnished to gather runes and repair the Elden Ring. This is ultimately some kind of lie as the Erdtree rejects your attempts in favor of having Morgott kill you and repair it himself. You could assume the Greater Will purposely set this all up but when you consider that the very existence of the Tarnished was a set up by Marika it makes me doubtful. I personally believe that in her crucified and imprisoned state within the tree, Marika kicks off a really elaborate plan outside the GW's control. The Two Fingers are messengers and ultimately unreliable orators of the Greater Will as even they are confused by the time you are rejected by the tree. I think Marika falsely communicated the GW's intentions to them so they could circulate the idea that Tarnished must make a pilgrimage and repair the ring and her rogue element, Melina, allows the Tarnished to bypass the inevitable roadblock. And if her speculated involvement in the Night of Black Knives is correct, I believe Marika's ultimate plan was allowing a non God/Demigod/Empyrean entity to claim the Elden Throne because it seems to be that godly entities are enslaved to the will of Outer Gods by nature. But what of a mere, lowly Tarnished?
Marika presumably had something to do with the shattering and Godwyns death
Why do the sorcerers in Sellia have the stone masks when those are Raya's shtick?
very carefully
Bro she just looks Seluvis in the eye and he fucking dies. She's probably very powerful
>Feel like the entire Tarnished Pilgrimage is 100% Marika's orchestration and the GW had little agency in the matter.
yes
I'm still confused as to who the narrator is. Since he keeps saying things about our home across the fog, and judging from the intro where we literally wake up to then cross a fog, I think he's a lost soul just like us but from the way it's presented I get the impression that the fog lands aka elden limbo still allows you to have personalities and even speak to other lost souls.
Stop making threads when there are already threads up
Seems to be a general sorceror thing. The masks have glintstones so maybe its some way to get closer to the Primeval Current. Endgame sorcers end up as rock fusion abominations or just turned entirely to glintstone.
Yeah but she clearly didn’t fight it
You know, I feel we don't talk enough about the fact that Ranni had a loli magic teacher.
What his dude doin in Rykard's chamber?
Shouldn't he go kill for Runes himself if he wants to be a Lord?
astel is her personal guard dog.
She also instantaneously kills you if you keep attempting to talk to her after betraying her.
He got spooked when he looked inside Marika's Elden hole
user the snow witch was a hag
She tricked him with chicken nuggets
Why is the doll so cute then
>marika and ranni are innocent because I want to fuck them :)
You find this cute?
If you kill him before giving him all 9 deathroot, he dies asking you why you want destined death, and what you're trying to kill
If you give him all 9 deathroot, he instead asks for Marika's forgiveness, and says the Golden Order cannot be restored
The Deathroot item description mentions that its pieces of the rune of death that are sprouting up around the place. Malakith has been trying to eat it all to consolidate it within himself to solve the original problem.
People that think the betrayal was Marika betraying the Golden Order itself, which makes sense because Malakith has been forcing himself to eat Deathroot to try to fix something she doesn't really care about
Other folks think Marika helped Ranni get in to steal the Death Rune, which makes sense since he's serious about keeping it contained, and doesn't see a place for it out in the world.
rykard is the coolest guy in the game

Yes, doesn't look like a hag to me
>each little rune you collect is a tiny shard of the shattered Elden Ring
radagon put the thorns up ya goof
imagine marika turning into radagon and back again while you fuck
I assume this is what happened with Godfrey
Fearing death and spiting god for its creation is rational.
Seeking enlightenment and independent power beyond blind faith or trust in higher power is also rational.
Shame we don't hear more from before he became a snake
>you make marika cum
>her hair starts changing color and this starts playing youtube.com
I don't think Marika pretended to be the Greater Will and communed with the fingers, I think when grace left the demigods and brought back the tarnished the fingers just assumed it was GW's doing and rolled with it.
>I believe Marika's ultimate plan was allowing a non God/Demigod/Empyrean entity to claim the Elden Throne because it seems to be that godly entities are enslaved to the will of Outer Gods by nature. But what of a mere, lowly Tarnished?
If that was the case she wouldn't have been able to shatter the ring. The Elden Throne and Elden Lord are typically inhabited by non-gods anyway, Godfrey was just a dude powerful enough to beat the competition, Placidusax is just a dragon not a god.
Why does Radagon and the Elden beast even fight you?
bisexual king godfrey
reminds me of LegendaryFrog
Go to the other thread right now
I wanna know more about the dude who keeps watch on his door.
That part when you go back to the Roundtable and he invades you it caught me so off guard.
It didnt look like the actual Roundtable you always teleport to, so I guess its the one in the Capital? And other than that, theres not much info about who that guy was. I read his equipment description but that wasnt much.
survival instinct
You'd be mad too if some random schmuck burned your tree down and wanted to claim your title. user.
He works for Gideon, you get the medallion he wants so he sends him to merc you. You win so he just handwaves it as an oopsie and tells you to get ther other part.
You’re taking the title of Elden Lord by force. You need to prove that you are the most powerful being in the world.
I mean depending on the ending you choose you're fucking over the GW, also I don't think radagon has much of a choice he's fully possesed by the elden beast there.
Radagon and the Elden Beast follow the GW, and the GW's last command before leaving was that nobody touches the Elden Ring
