Walking through that city sucks balls because NPCs are utter bullshit and there's no place you can go to do anything but pew pew the same stupid scenes.
Driving through it still sucks balls despite improvements, and you're through it in minutes tops.
It's a fucking disappointment of a game.

Most of the rank and file development team didn't think the game would be ready to launch till sometime in 2022. That's how far out they thought they were.

True. I guess pressure from the public after 2 deays and from the shareholders were too much. Still doesn't excuse it since they rode themselves into that hole, especially after saying "it's coming when it's ready".

for all its faults I unironically had fun with it, but it was in no way what it should have been

The biggest problem with Cyberpunk is that they built it up to be an ultra action RPG where you can customise everything, go everywhere, do anything and be anyone but then it was just a regular ass action RPG that was heavier on the action.

I want to replay it but I'd rather wait if there's more content coming soon.

Same boat, I actually really liked it on release but keep waiting for more substantial updates. 1.5 was a good start but not replay worthy.

I agreed with you completely up until this part. I don't think Keanu is a great actor and he's an even worse voice actor, also jarring when the singing comes on and it sounds NOTHING like him. They should have just got someone who can voice act and sing like jack black.

Jack Blacks a great VA and has the singing chops to actually perform the songs that silverhand sings. I don't see why it's a controversial pick, he's capable of not being whacky as well, they would just have to model off of concept art.

I found a twitch clip from 4 days ago where the quest director said they were working on an expansion daily. So I assume it's not coming out soon.

One thing that fucked them is wanting to do voice acting for so many languages. You already are going to do voice acting for a female V and male V, then you have tons of voice acting for many languages, this is why this game has less dialogue options than Witcher 3.

I looked up Red Dead Redemption 2 and it only has english voice acting despite Rockstars enormous budgets, honestly CDPR should do this for their games that tend to be dialogue choice heavy compared to other kinds of games, if this mean more developed dialogue, fuck those people who want their french VA or whatever, just read subtitles.

They really screwed up the expansion cycle. How did Witcher 3 already have 2 massive expansions out 1 year later and now coming up on 2 years of cyberpunks release we have 0 expansions and only 1 meaningful update. Ever since the red 2 company restructuring and stopping crunch their productivity has gone to shit.

I mean they will always do a Polish VA as well but yeah doing multiple VA languages is fucking stupid. Just pay translators to do the subtitles and leave it there.

I also enjoyed it. Was expecting a lesser Witcher with guns and that's pretty much what I got. People expecting GTA6 are stupid. People who didn't have 30 series cards are poor and their opinions don't matter.

I’m playing it right now actually. It’s a really enjoyable game. I don’t feel bad for CDPR though, they should have dropped the last gen version and delayed it until 2022 as a next gen/PC exclusive. They knew it as too much for last gen consoles but they sold it anyway to cash in on PS4’s 100 million+ install base.

Dunno, maybe it's because i'm an ESL but I thought that Keanu's kinda slurred way of speaking fits a drugged up rockstar that's done with the world. And his visuals certainly fit.

Yeah, Imagine the game we could have got with this delay. It wouldn't just have been what we have now, but todays version without all the fuckery and fixing they have had to waste time on. This game would have been SOOO much more developed.

Idk his delivery was jarring to me and took me out of it every time he spoke. It was comical how bad his acting was at some points but to each their own I guess.

The caveat is that V changes personality depending on the language.

V becomes a completely different person. English V acts like a streetkid no matter what lifepath, but japanese V is a corpo/solo through and through and is probably the closest voice if you want to roleplay as Motoko from GITS.

Same, 3090, I9 12900k and DDR5 ram and the game just looks ok at 4k. I tried HDR and that makes it even worse looking. Everyone elses screenshots look great though.

Just use reshade and fiddle with the shaders.

Cyberpunk was incredible. My jaw was on the floor playing that game and walking around the city the first times. It’s disappointing the launch was such a disaster, because the game gets way to much hate. I basically 100 percented the game twice. I really want DLC, but we have to wait for the relaunch with the subway system and more.

it's been a year since release and the cops in the game still can't drive. they needed a full two more years of development, minimum.

A few days ago, the director mentioned that an expansion was in the works but they can tell anything about it yet.
It will probably be released early next year.

You don't understand how CDPR opperates. They have a market cap higher than fucking SEGA despite the Cyberpunk fiasco. They are fucking massive and there will never be 1 focus on 1 AAA game at the studio from 2022 onwards.
