Well the Steam Deck has taken the world by storm. Backordered for months.

Super Smash Bros is a deceptively difficult game to copy. Ultimate in particular has so much production value. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, but especially with something like Nickelodeon All Stars you notice the lack of production value immediately. It really is a game of inches. Not having voice acting is one thing but consider a character like Terry Bogard. In addition to being an extremely faithful recreation of the character, his stage also features a number of fully modeled and animated guest characters from KOF. The equivalent would be a Bikini Bottom Stage with Mr. Krabs, Garry, Plankton, Pearl, etc, and that would cover 3 of the characters from that roster.

Something that Smash Bros fans don't really acknowledge is that the vast majority of people who played SSBM and are playing Ultimate aren't doing it because they consider it a well balanced, finely tuned competitive game with good netcode. They're not even playing the 1v1, stock, no items game mode, which is just one of over a dozen combinations. Chances are they're playing a 4-8 player free for all with random stage selection and items. I know that's what I did as a kid with melee, and under the influence of alcohol with Ultimate as an adult. I doubt I've ever played Ultimate sober, or taken it seriously as a competitive game.

I mean, shitch is dead in the water

Why hasn't it outsold the N-gage yet?

What does the N stand for?
