Post dwalves.
haha jojo :DDD
I fucking hate my friend because he plays scout and barely uses the flare gun because he's worried about running out of ammo the fucking nigger
It's good to be back
What does Yea Forums think of the new weapons?
dont care. luv me loki. new missions when. new area when.
I don't like that gunner got yet another pocket rifle, it's not interesting
Engineer's is cool because it's not AOE like the other two
Driller's looks fun, simple and easy to use
Scout's looks weak and abit boring but special ammo redeems it
I will have a more informed opinion when S2 releases and I play them.
I don't know how Engi's is gonna stand in the shadow of Breach Cutter and Fat Boy but I've been surprised before.
Driller's is an instant win for me
I'll be curious to see what is possible with Gunner's new secondary. I'm gonna give it a go myself, I always did prefer to carry a heavy hitter as backup for him and since Elephant Rounds are probably dead and forgotten at this point
Scout's gonna be interesting, an alternative long-range high damage option for the secondary slot means other builds for primaries like high-damage and high-fire rate GK2 setups offset by a Crossbow to compensate should shake things up, though it was, is and will be hard to ween myself off of Special Powder Boomstick.
>new driller secondary has better range and crowd control and has neat interactions with driller's primaries
Is there even a single fucking reason to use the Subata anymore?
>Season 2 : New Secondaries
>Season 3 : ???
Give speculations
Devs said season 3 will move away from the dumb robots. Thank god.
Not too impressed from look of it. I don't even know what role the gunner's x-ray pistol is supposed to have. Engi is just meh. I'm worried that the driller microwave gun is going to have zero range creating a noob trap. And although the crossbow looks interesting, I just can't see it replacing the machine guns for their huge damage potential or the shotgun for its mobility.
I'd much rather have some of the older guns rebalanced and some new OCs added. The Deepcore is absolutely awful compared to M1000 and Drak and it needs some major rejiggering.
explosive reload is and will always be cool
Hope: Biome specific bugs, like every zone having a unique detonator, or more unique detonators in general like Jadiz ones or Nitra ones. New lootbug types. A proper Starship Troopers style defense mission where you have to survive for a certain length of time. New armors including some that actually give off light like the LED soccer ball. More skin colors and hair colors.
What we'll probably get: Some half baked queen bug mission that's just a slightly tougher Dreadnaught and a few new dye jobs.
Season 2 trailer
youtu.be
I like all the secondaries except Gunner's.
If I want high single target damage on my secondary I could use Volatile Bullets or Elephant Rounds Bulldog, or Lead Spray BRT.
It's only major use I can see is shooting through thin pillars to hit a weakspot you can't quite reach.
But if it does high team-damage on the other hand
If the board game is any indicator: possibly some new grenades.
I hope they buff the Sludge Pump and Plasma Burster Missiles, they were my two favourite things in season 1 and then both got super nerfed.
>he doesn't want to aggro all 3 dreadnaughts the moment the drop pod opens
A goblinfag gave me a key for this game in one of these threads so I am absolutely required to oppose your wishes, OP
>love dwarves
>love sci-fi
>find L4D/horde mode co-op games very boring
Is that what Deep Rock Galactic is? It seems to be, but I'm not really sure.
EVERYTHING WILL BE FIRE
I don't get the horde mode feel from this game
Killing bugs isn't the objective, it's an obstacle
your objective is to get in, do what the company sent you down there for, and get out. There just happen to be a bunch of hostile bugs that'll make things difficult.
Depending on what you even consider "horde mode" the game might dissuade you if that's where you draw your arbitrary line, watch some gameplay or something.
130% damage modifier with a decent base damage and fire rate. Plus it has some alright mods. I like the expanded mags and stun. Although I'll admit I mostly only use it with the flamethrower. I feel like people would like it more if it was automatic by default instead of requiring an OC.
looks terrible
>Killing bugs isn't the objective, it's an obstacle
That's how L4D and the little of Vermintide I played felt like as well.
>Depending on what you even consider "horde mode" the game might dissuade you if that's where you draw your arbitrary line
I guess it was a poor choice of words. I recently tried that 40k game that is literally a horde mode where you sit in an arena and can't progress until you kill all the enemies. I forgot the name. Obviously L4D and Vermintide aren't the same, but I found both equally uninteresting. With L4D it was also largely because the gunplay felt awful, so simply progressing through some levels wasn't really good enough. It felt like those games get 100% carried by the co-op aspect to me.
Sludge Pump needs a big buff, fucking thing sucks at everything.
Flamethrower has way better direct damage, way better DoT, way better sticky damage, has a much stronger status effect that spreads to nearby enemies, a shitload more ammo, much higher ease of use, infinite target penetration in a wide cone and better sticky coverage of both floors and walls/ceilings, sludge can't compare in any way whatsoever.
Am i the only one that feels this huge ass delay between the actions? man i miss servers so much.
Killing zombies and killing rats -is- the main objective of those games though?
ooooh wok and stone
Is it? It's been so long since I tried either of them that I genuinely don't remember that being the case. I thought L4D and Vermintide were both games where the objective is to progress through the level to escape or something, and that the enemies along the way were just obstacles in that path.
sludge is more fun
>I recently tried that 40k game that is literally a horde mode where you sit in an arena and can't progress until you kill all the enemies.
DRG has nothing like that, the closest would be fighting boss-type enemies, but you're never expected to kill everything since ammo is the only real resource to consider being smart about spending.
We can't force you to play the game, let alone like it, but at the very least watch someone play it or maybe hang around for the new update at the end of the month in case they run a deep sale or free weekend.
>or free weekend
Ah I didn't know they did those for DRG. I'll definitely be on the lookout for that, then. Thanks
Seems OP to me
buff subata, only use I found for it is to use it with fullauto OC + cryo driller, but even then I could just use heavy hitter with heat mod or just keep using regular EPC explosions.
TFC is just too good
>minerals go flying
It doesn't matter 80% of the time, specially in tunnels, the minerals just don't fly too far. And if you're fast you can run into the explosion and get most of the minerals anyway before they fly away. And being able to pick up shit off the ceiling/high walls beat having to drill up there. And finally, TFC hits hard as fuck, one well timed TFC deletes a whole mactera swarm. Not to mention the material deleting capabilities.
Who /hype/ for the new season?
Yeah it could do with some buffs, but try Subata with the explosive reload OC, it's as strong as the base gun should be imo and got me to stop using the EPC every single mission.
>dude named gigachad
>is like 15 yo
>lags like crazy
So.. this is the future of MP games....
I’m looking forward to never having to use the Subata or EPC again since the Wave Cooker looks way more fun than either of them to me.
Sounds like the average Yea Forums poster to me.
i'm pretty sure that's the guy who posts extremely pixelated screenshots in these threads
I hope its actually good and not just a budget flamethrower.
Honestly if the mini microwave can tear me from my subata with explosive reloads then it has the potential to be one of the best weapons in all of vidya.
It seemed pretty good from what I saw of the devs using it, had some fun looking overclocks and mods too.
Hol up hol up hol up... so you be sayin... we wuz some kind of... dorfs n sheit?
based fellow cancer giving bro
I'm just hoping it provides an ammo-efficient way to ignite goo in my own.
I don’t remember if it had a heat based OC but man I hope so, I really don’t like the EPC.
God dammit.
heh
how do you guys build your draks
>immune to burning
>Immune to freezing
>Sludge pump sucks
What do you take against robots? Driller feels useless.
>immune to burning
user, robots die when their heat meter hits full
Ice Spear
Axe
Explosive Reload Subata
Power Melee
Honestly do what you want and you'll probably hit on something usable. I fluctuate between bonus heat, bouncy rounds and free ammo on overheat.
