Jim is NOT coming back!!! what part of that do you fuckers not understand?
most movie trilogies have a decent first film to set things up, then the second movie improves on what worked before and raises the stakes and then the 3rd film is where it usually shits the bed and falls apart killing the franchise for a long time
it happened with >Godfather >Superman >the first batman movies >Spiderman and its going to happen with sonic 3 and then the knuckles show will either get canceled or last one season
search your feelings you know i'm right and i'm willing to bet on it
and just because he was talking about a fat suit for the second movie as part of a character evolution in one interview doesn’t mean anything when right near the sonic 2's release he says he has "done enough" and wants to "do nothing" and would only do another movie role unless "If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see"
i highly doubt hes talking about another sonic movie
he also said he's more interested in an ace Ventura pet detective movie directed by Christopher Noland
Aiden Taylor
Actually it's gonna be just like nu!Mission Impossible where the third film is the best one.
This isn't just movies- List of vidya trilogies that had an inferior/bad third game: Halo 3 Mass Effect 3 Uncharted 3 Gears of War 3 Modern Warfare 3 Black Ops 3 Batman Arkham Knight Assassin's Creed 3 Max Payne 3
Sonic 3 is doomed.
Noah Torres
I wish they wouldn't have killed Cavill's character and instead Solomon Lane. Cavill was a much more interesting character
Aiden Edwards
CGI OBAMA MUST BE IN THE SONIC THREE MOVIE TO PLAY THE PRESIDENT! I WANT TO HEAR OBAMA SAY NIGGER ON LIVE SCREEN!
Is it me or is Ghost Protocol incredibly overrated? Shit felt like watching a cartoon, terrible villains too.
Aaron Murphy
MI movies are defined by their directors. MI Rogue Nation (2015) starts with an almost all new cast and recycles almost nothing from MI Ghost Protocol (2011). So, MI Fallout (2018) was the 2nd part of this new trilogy. MI7 (2023) will be the true 3rd part of the Christopher Mcquarrie trilogy. Im sorry user, it will suck.
Nathan Gonzalez
That's its appeal imo, it has a unique tone. Every MI film has a distinctive tone, even Rogue Nation and Fallout feel different despite being from the same director.
Cameron Reyes
This was meant for
Oliver Rogers
Well it WAS directed by Brad Bird. I don't like it as much as 5 and 6 but I think it has the best cast overall and shit like the hotel heist will never not be entertaining no matter how many times I watch it.
is this shit available online yet or is it still just phone recordings with casino ads all over
Christian Butler
Eh, I think there's a very clear line with the MI franchise where it goes from generic action films defined by their directors to thinly-veiled excuses for Tom Cruise to almost kill himself, and that line is right inbetween 3 and Ghost Protocol.
Angel Ross
He's talking about the original Spider-Man trilogy you underage faggot.
Jeremiah Reed
So what did Jim say about his role as Robonik? Dude must've had a lot fun being a mad scientist. Also where would you rank Robotnik role in the roles Jim Carrey have done in his career?
Still breaks the rule OP is trying to establish. He can't bring up the Raimi films without acknowledging the home trilogy because it doesn't fit his narrative. None of the Star Wars trilogies fit his narrative either for that matter.
Robert Ramirez
Halo 3, Gears of War 3, and Max Payne 3 were the best games in their trilogies though
Parker Evans
>Also where would you rank Robotnik role in the roles Jim Carrey have done in his career? mid-tier he's entertaining enough, but he's less 'Robotnik' and more 'Carrey just makes up goofy-sounding lines' I'd argue Robotnik from the first movie felt more like an actual character, acting-wise
Daniel Nguyen
He's interested in being in Sonic 3, in a recent interview on Sonic 2 he said he wanted to be in a fat suit, so if they allow him then that will draw him back into the role. He normally doesn't play the same character twice, hence why we never got true Mask 2 for example, but when promised with big character change he will be back on board, just like with Robotnik in Sonic 2.
Easton Sanders
That's false though
Bentley Harris
>None of the Star Wars trilogies fit his narrative either for that matter Actually both the originals and the sequels do. The prequels also fit but in reverse, where the first movie is middling, second is awful and the third is actually ok.
Jim Carrey said he wanted to retire, but it wasn't as definitive as some are treating it. I wouldn't be shocked if they had him sign onto several sequels. It would explain why Shadow is already happening next movie outside of financial reasons, since they want to go big knowing a fourth movie isn't likely, at least with Carrey as Eggman.
Luke Rivera
>He's an ESBfag Prove me right. Everytime, it's an Empire Strikes Back nigger hiding behind this rhetoric.
Matthew Rodriguez
You actually think resurrecting palpatine offscreen during the word crawl and using backup footage of carrie fischer to force her into the movie, was better than the first or second of the new sequels? Thanks for telling us so we can completely disregard your future opinions.
Jason Lewis
>walking out on his biggest box office opening yet This. Watch him perform a Tom Brady "unretirement" and continue Sonic 3 and 4.
Anthony Harris
Haven't watched the movie yet, did Robotnik die or something that warrants the character not coming back? If not who will play him in the inevitable next game?
Samuel Perez
Only redditors say the third movie with THE Shadow the Hedgehog will be bad. Go enjoy one of the redditbob movies, faggot.
Aiden Sanders
Everyone agrees Empire is the best one. What? Do you have brain damage? I clearly said the sequel trilogy aligns with OP's claim that movie trilogies tend to go 2 > 1 > 3
Benjamin Phillips
The movie leaves it very ambiguous, so it feels like he may have told the filmmakers he may retire before announcing it publicly
Daniel Hill
Nah, I disagree with you. So, Shadow the Hedgehog is actually the reddit opinion. Sorry you lose.
Noah Flores
>Thinking TLJ is better than TFA
Landon Smith
>Jim is NOT coming back!!! People say a lot of things.
Daniel Craig said he'd rather slit his wrists then do another Bond movie after he was done with Spectre.
Michael Bay said that Transformers 3 was gonna be his last one, then 4.
Probably no brain damage, I just mis read. Apologies.
Evan Baker
And celebrities are addicted to the spotlight. Carrey hasn't had a good film in decades. He finally can have fun again.
Joseph Murphy
>not a rethread soft reboot movie >actual good cinematography and action scenes >little to no "i clapped when i saw it" moments. Yeah, I think I'm sticking to that one. If I wanna watch A New Hope I'll just watch A New Hope, since it's better than Force Awakens in every way.
he wanted to wear it for the second movie he never said anything about doing a 3rd movie
Mason Wilson
If Paramount was smart they'd plan a super-soft reboot of the movie series starting with the fourth entry, making the movies fully-animated going forward so they could justify holding onto most of the bigger face actors as VAs instead.
