Minions The Rise of Gru

It's a passable movie for general audiences, not much substance and the plot and pacing are messy but it's flashy and fun. It's great for Sonic fans since they actually bothered to make a Sonic movie this time.

You're right about the first movie and people overreacted because it wasn't literal puke on the screen like Sonic's original design seemed to imply, but the second movie is genuinely good, for fans at least. It does its thing but integrates much more of the characters, plot and lore of the series.

First movie is like a 6/10, it was okay.

This is actually a good 7/10 movie. There are some bad parts and some points where the problem would've been solved if Sonic just keep going fast instead of fucking around, but for the most, if Knuckles/Sonic/Tails/Eggman are on screen, it's a great time.
