FEW1 2P was an absolute nightmare on harder missions because enemies just disappear and the game chugs to a halt. Roster needs some more heavy hitters to be really good (especially characters that are normally NPCs).
Class changing does not inspire high faith in the movesets. I'd love if it every character got 1 unique moveset and then movesets for whatever classes they can go into, but that'd way too much wishful thinking.

If they learned anything from Three Houses, it's that they were overly ambitious with the writing. Even if we suppose that they'll leave out the Church route entirely, I don't trust them to make 3 equally enjoyable stories. I think we'll get 3 different beginnings depending on the lord you side with, we'll gt a fake out ending for each one, and once you complete the three routes you'll be able to enter the endgame where you'll fight alongside Byleth against the true evil or whatever, since Three Houses fans can't shut up about golden route, despite how many acknowledge it doesn't have to always be a thing.

I'm thinking Shez ends up as antagonist after playing the three routes. He/she gets manipulated or taken by the Agarthans and then the second half "Golden Route" we play as Byleth and save Shez so we can play them both in the final few missions. The second half with have fishing.

I'm kinda disappointed Shez and presumably everybody else is customizable, and we just end up with another scenario where everybody just metagames it and you end up once again with the best character being Edelgard flying around nuking things, but even moreso because of how good the wyvern rider moveset was in the last Fire Emblem Warriors.

One of the great things about the original Fire Emblem Warriors is how people were focused on their niche
>Chrom as an easy to use, good at everything, high stats across the board sword fighter that doesn't excel in any particular niche outside of his retard strength and durability but doesn't have any real weaknesses
>OC twins as utility monster killers
>Pegasus knights and Lissa as mage killers
>other swordfighters for officer-focused dueling
>archers for shredding flying units and crowd control
>mounted units like Frederick, Xander, Camilla/Minerva, Pegasus Knights for crowd control

It would've been a great way to let the supporting cast shine since you'll need them for full tactical coverage, as well as have fun with some of the weirder builds the cast can do(e.g. Edelgard having high Reason aptitude and having access to both fire and dark spells, Annette having axe growth building towards her being able to use Crusher, Marianne being likewise similar building towards using Blutgang to augment her magic abilities) by adapting them into their special moves/musou attacks.

I'm hoping the AI is competent like in the first FEW. In that game if you sent an NPC character with triangle advantage against an enemy he'd hold his own very decently, but in every other musou I've played the AI is dogshit and dies instantly unless you babysit them.
Also hoping the game runs decently this time. HWDE and FEW ran fine (and FEW even had a performance setting) but AoC ran terribly.

For even more new characters like Holst and Evil Claude.
Since they're reusing movesets anyway they should use this game to really flesh out the three countries, their noble families, and their military. Plus the route split is being kept so they need at least 8 or so for each path.
