FedEx are fucking thieves. The warehouse doesn't drug test or background check. I used to work there, and the standard nigger would break EVERY Nike or Gamestop or Best Buy etc. box "by accident" and everyone would loot the fuck out of it.

Amazon is definitely the better of all the delivery services and they will at least fully replace the item for you. Fedex does legitimately nothing to help you whatsoever and you lost out 95% of the time.
Because certain shippers, live valve with the Deck, cheap out and don't allow for the option to have to sign for the package. When the minority driver knows that, expect a missing package.

People that can afford trivial things like steam decks normally have jobs, and are working during peak delivery hours. It would be nice if some company existed that allowed for people to choose what hours to deliver, but you know, that's too much organization for most of them to do and would cause delivery hours so become mainly night time. Instead they place packages on your door step for minorities to steal since they don't work at all. They can steal from you during the day time since you're probably working.

I'm convinced "porch pirates" are a myth by FedEx to explain their workers stealing shit. Everybody has like doorbell cams and guns and works from home and shit; your neighbor isn't coming to your porch. More likely your delivery just get checked "complete" and nobody actually delivered it.

Why should I have to pay for a PO box on top of delivery? I already pay the delivery company, when all they have to do to prevent theft is allow me to choose a frame of time for them to deliver my package. Fucking delivery prices can sometimes be $20+ dollars, the least they can do is add an option like this :

I have not, where I live all the courier/delivery services will not leave packages around, you have to sign for them. If the guy doing delivery is especially anal about it he may not even be willing to let a family member sign for it and may even ask for ID to confirm you are who you say you are before giving you the package, though most of the time you can talk to them on the phone and tell them somebody else will take the package if you're not home or whatever.

I get what you're saying, but at least the USPS is a government job. I worked for FedEx. They don't even do fucking background checks. The turnover rate in the warehouse is 1 week. Literally every week, package handler's total packages moved are tallied, and the lowest person is fired. It doesn't matter how much they moved, just that they were the lowest.

Nice to hear that the big shipping companies suck in other countries too. They're shit in my country as well but for completely different reasons.
For example if I get package from another EU country to mine via UPS then as far as UPS is concerned it's fucking gone the moment it leaves their initial warehouse.
The company that handles UPS deliveries here is a sub-contractor with a license to use the UPS logo. But since they only handle sub-contracting to others any possible problems are very difficult to deal with, no direct lines to them.
And once it gets going it's now on a sub-sub-contractor that's a tiny local company handling packages for a dozen other shipping companies too. So package from other country to here is literally gone and untrackable from the moment it leaves the other country to the moment I am asked where I want it delivered.
This makes buying from other countries very difficult as there's rarely many choices for shipping company and all the choices are shit.

I'm going to make the assumption that not everyone, including you, has a doorbell camera. If you do, it isn't a Ring doorbell. When you subscribe to the service you receive notifications and a video clip from other Ring owners when something is caught on camera. I live in a shit city and I get at least one porch pirate video a day, give or take. I have the notification area that is monitored set to 1 mile of my home. I've had the doorbell for 5 years. It is a very real thing.

It was through Wal-Mart, with the Wal-Mart app. I was tracking drops for a while, and that just happened to be what I could get.

The company is supposed to bring back your package to the facility and leave you a note. If the driver drops it off anyway, it's likely because they were lazy and didn't want to bother with it. It's all down to the worker
