I played Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider back to back. Rise is from 2015, Shadow is from 2018. I am shocked at how beautiful Shadow of the Tomb Raider is. It is apparent that those 3 years were a big leap in graphics. I feel sorry for people that don't love the little things like that in video games.

it also looks better on the consoles than PC. some of the postprocessing cheats they use on console just fit the world's look much better, whereas on PC the shitty AA and stale textures reveal themselves.
