i own pic related and so far i can't fault it. I also have a ps5 dualsense but i never use it over this one.

If you get one with no problems it's fabulous

I control my games with a Keyboard and Mouse

This is better. The new xbox controllers are smaller so they aren't as comfy to use

surprisingly hard to find

The meatiest and mightiest of controllers that can even put the Duke to shame.

Got this one for free, it feels like a peak of xbox controller design. If you prefer the xbox layout, there is nothing better available. I use it a lot with my phone when emulating ps2 and it's perfect.

DS4 with steam input, having gyro and a touchpad is nice

You can only buy them used or refurbished now, I think.

For me, it's the DS4.

I switch between my switch pro controller and my ds4. I was thinking about getting the duke controller a few years ago when Xbox started making them again but I heard they didn't work on pc

and what problems does it have

Been using Wii U Pro lately, which serves me fine. Want to get something with gyro soon though.

Idk what model that is but when I had my sn30 pro+ the triggers were too sensitive and the sticks started drifting after 7 months of use

the sticks feel weird on a flat face controller

This was good until the left stick started drifting after about a year. Also the triggers started squeaking

This is best there is for most games I play.

Also this is great for Stardew Valley, racing games with gyro, Fallout 4 ect.

>>Got it for free
Stealing is bad, user

Fucking amazing controller, but on all the ones I tried the analog sticks had LOTS of play.

*makes clicking noise*

Only if you get caught whitey ;)

My own has occasional connectivity problems (power cycling itself or randomly losing connection to Bluetooth/a console) that seem to be related to an oversensitive platform switch on the back of the controller, if I slam it all the way to the right (Xinput) it seems to fix itself. I should probably tape it down. Some people seem to have connectivity issues that have been fixed through firmware updates but I am not one of them, so it's hardware.

Stick jitter is strange from controller to controller and no two Pro 2s I've had have behaved the same in their sticks.

You really spend all your free time in that fucking cuck corner? Also imagine playing 3rd person games with a fucking keyboard.

>No gyro
Into the trash it goes

idk i've played games from Max Payne to Elden Ring on KBM just fine. it was only when i started browsing forums such as this that i see people take such issue with it.

Whats a good controller? mostly just for Elden Ring. I tried using my Xbox wired controller but moving the left analog makes the right drift despite being completely clean inside and the switch controller has a deadzone right in front.

If you want a retro controller with a good dpad then I recommend looking for one from Hori. The Hori Pokkén Pad is the cheapest but has some problems for modern games (only one R and L on the shoulders), while the Fighting Commander can be a little more expensive depending on the model but it will work well for almost any retro game, plus the newer model has a customizable dpad where you can change the sensitivity of each direction and also diagonals.
For modern controllers, I'm using a Logitech F310 which has a pretty bad grip and several design issues that make it uncomfortable and sometimes problematic for specific uses, but I'd rather opt for this cheap model than pay 3x or 4x more for a console controller that don't last more than 2 months because of drift problems.
My experience with 8BitDo is that all their controllers are pretty bad so I would 100% avoid them.

based,this OP,if there's ever a V2 of this masterpiece,buy it immediately.
with gyro + paddles + touchpads, you get 80-90% of what a Mnk offers, except with all the cozy of a controller.

Mouse and keyboard for precise aiming. Don't be a retard

People like to play comfily on couch. Sitting on a desk feels like work for most adults.

Gotta be that one. DS4 requires hacks and never works well with From games. Xbox is just plug and play.

Insanely expensive though. Only worth it if you have the cash to burn, which at that point might as well go with the ultra expensive third party shit

It's therapeutic though

unironically some chinese controller on amazon even has gyro with 4 type modes cost only about 20$

You just posted it.

I got a series 2 controller for dark souls 3, gonna use it for the new Lego kino too
It's basicslly just an xbone controller though so I'd say the xbone s or the 360 wired are the best.
Dpad still leaves a lot to be desired and ds4 compatibility with PC just still isn't quite there yet. Plus I prefer how the xbone controller feels I my hand over the ds4.

og wired 360 remote. The new ones just don't last.

U gotta get a comfy chair and a bigass monitor bro

XBOX elite controller, there's a reason that the Steam Deck based its ergonomics on it and every single person who reviewed the Steam Deck concluded that it felt similar to it and looks deceive.
It is comfortable and durable, and quality.

Well, not the one you posted that's for sure.
Currently the best one in my opinion is DS4 but it has a lot of flaws still.
To make it perfect
>change sticks shape to xbox style one
>make dpad actually separate
>stop using outdated potentiometers in sticks
>remove retarded touch pad and led, bring back normal start\select buttons
>maybe add back buttons
Here you go, a pretty much perfect controller. Maybe make an asymmetric version for those who prefer it.

Some of the third party 360 controllers have better dpads I've heard but I have yet to try any of them

The one in the OP. It just works. Okay manufacture too.

xbox controller seriously, it's plug play lmao.

Surely something is wrong with that controller. Mine never takes that longs between clicks

potentially dumb question… but if i plug it into my pc with the usb cable does it still need batteries?

Yes, that "something" is retarded Microsoft which fucked up PCB design which worked fine since fucking NES. All of SeX controllers are like that, it's literally confirmed by MS itself. If you press buttons lightly or from an angle you can get no input despite button clearly being pressed. I returned that shit asap when I found about this issue.

Attached: 1.jpg (1188x524, 103.46K)

I... never had any issues. They always work for me.

You can simply not notice it, it depends on games you play and how you press the buttons. But it is a hardware issue so all of controllers are like that.

Attached: 2.jpg (490x650, 72.73K)

How is aiming with the right "trackpad"? I always assumed it would be better than analog sticks, but never had the chance to actually try one

I'll try to pay more attention then

Those are the best xbox controllers idkw , but they are peak comfort.

Cringe

mouse and keyboard

>testing input lag on a fucking website
Wew

It's not a lag test son

how's the Xbone controller situation in the US?
Here in yurop they are sold out everywhere, been this way ever since january, quite unreal...why is it even happening?
thankfullly I still have my wireless V1, but to find even a shitty bluetooth original one is impossible unless you spend 150€ for an elite

Build quality is hit or miss

Suck it, zoomers.

Attached: dual action.jpg (300x300, 15.22K)

shit dpad
i'm not a zoom faggot so i play 2d games occasionally

Not my problem.

plug play mean it just works on pc without toying with steam / driver. op ask for pc so.

I like the xbone controller. This knockoff switch pro controller is pretty good too, theyre like $30 or something

To anons that are knowledgable are the newer dualsense models actually better than the older ones or i got rused?

third party controllers got absolutely awesome, and I mean the chinese knockoffs, got one for my Switch for 24 dollars and it's better in everyway compared to the nintendo pro controller, nuts

>Here in yurop they are sold out everywhere
Bro your local scalper?

>but if i plug it into my pc with the usb cable does it still need batteries?
No

Same shit.

Steam controller

chinks still oem those as I know, look at taobao or ali, I think it was around $10 for a wired 360 controller.

In trackball mode it's better than stick but worse than mouse. Perfectly suitable for something like Dark Souls or MHW.
For FPS you need to use it in combination with gyro for fine aim which takes a lot of getting used to and config tweaking.

i got a hori pad at it was cheap plastic shit. stick to nintendo/sony/xbox controllers

You can asjust the tension on them.
