Taker's Flame and Tiche were my go to for most of the game. Shield bros and Lhutel were also pretty good side options. And the Wolves shred Rennala.

I have not yet played the game, i do not know what spirit ashes are, i assume it summons an npc. When I do play the game I will summon the cute jellyfish girl every single moment i can. Not because a fight is hard, but because she is cute and funny

I use every advantage I can get in these kinds of games.

I beat the Dragonslayer Archers in Anal Rondo by firing a few poison arrows at them and then ducking back in cover. Didn't get hit once, didn't die once.

Doing that fight now, its such fucking horseshit. First time through I cheesed it with magic. Now I'm doing a DEX/FTH run and I hit for fucking nothing. I hope whoever thought that they should share a health bar and respawn gets terminal ass cancer.

Yeah I did. I didn't really do this for Dark Souls 3, and I think I just got older to the point I didn't have the patience for anime bosses anymore. I summoned mimic during the first few playthroughs and then I used Tiche for my most recent playthrough because her health drain is insane.

I did summon for a few but I went back and beat them legit, well except for the gank squad bosses cause fuck that shit. Won't really be satisfying to go back and 1v2/1v3 them or w/e, they were shit, dull fights anyway. I'd rather beat Malenia again for the 4th+ time onward with harder setups.

He has a fuckton of openings though? Hits like a truck sure, but tons of fucking openings.

If I see two health bars at the bottom of the screen when I enter a boss room, I summon immediately with zero guilt. I promise you spirit ashes are the reason there are so many gank fights in this game.

No. I only summoned twice, once for the jelly quest and the other one for the imp tower puzzle.

Did that first try with no summons. With a shitty STR/INT gimmick build. I didn't get the hype, it was very easy to keep one of them blocked by the environment most of the time.

Does any know a better non-giant great sword than the claymore? The golden halberd does crazy damage but I want to keep using the sword aesthetic for my STR build.

yes I summoned the jellyfish for godrick. And once I found out every dungeon boss was a reskin I also summoned but I always tried different ones to see how they fair against the bosses. After godrick I didn't summon any for the main bosses though.

Course I did. Used the jellyfish all the way up to the fire giant and switched to the mimic tear.

Yea I tried using a zweihander but the claymore had better strength scaling damage and was 100 times faster seems kinda broken.

What boss is she useful against? Malenia, mohg, astel, fire giant.
None of these she is useful to fight. Cant hold aggro and cant dish out enough damage.

Why wouldn't I? It would me much less exciting to find new ashes and upgrade materials knowing you won't be using them

She's good for aggro juggling, has a lot of longetivity. She kind of falls apart if the boss has any kind of persistent damage or big attacks that are easy for players to dodge. The teleport sometimes works but against things like tree guardians she's pretty useless.

I don't know, I dropped them for curved swords halfway through the game. Bastard was definitely more STR leaning, but it's not worth losing the poke for if you ask me. I was rather lamenting the sorry state of the Zweihander.
