Marriage events are the big character events for each marriage candidate that you have to see before you can propose to them. People don't usually use marriage events to refer to the stuff that occurs after you marry them.

I've put more hours into Rune Factory 5 than I did Elden Ring, and I got all of the achievements in Elden Ring and beat Journey 7. In RF5 I reached the first Winter and married Fuuka but regretted it so much I instantly started over. On my second playthrough I've been powerleveling the shit out of it. I beat the story by the end of the first month and I'm currently on the 9th of August and all I really have left to do is get everybody's friendship up to 10. It's taking me forever. Once I finish that I'll save the game and marry Lucy just to finally have kids but I'll keep my save slots untouched in the event that they do make DLC.

So I've heard of Rune Factory but I have Zero idea of what the franchise is about or what the gameplay is. Can someone tell me which ones are worth getting into?

3, 4, Frontier, Tides of destiny.

farming sim with some dungeon crawling and light dating sim elements. My personal favorite is 3 but 4 is also pretty solid. I'd recommend either one of them for your first experience with the series.

The game is about farmin' crops and killin' fauna and fuckin' cliche anime girls and also catching monsters as if it was pokemon, you craft/cook stuff as well, shit's fun.

the gay thing was probably piss easy to implement so I won't blame it for the core issues plaguing the game which are tied mostly to performance
