it's standalone, you can just download it for free from the moddb page, don't bother with any 'mod managers', they often just fuck up the installation of plugins.
you don't need to install anomaly, just unzip the compressed archive and run the exe to start the game.
if you wanna install addons, backup your gamedata folder first incase it breaks something, then just copy the mods folders into your game folder and overwrite if necessary.
