I know it's a stretch. The main core of the game is of course not comparable. But here's the thing:
The game offers you daily / weekly quests that may follow a story. The thing is that most of these quests can also be identified to the basic layout of a GTA mission, that is, do x place and kill this, go there and do that, and so on. This alongside the ability to drive cars (and listen to the radio) in BR feels more like a "GTA Online" than whatever the fuck Rockstar did in GTA V.
I know it's a stretch but it's just my opinion.

As for the TTK, reasonable as long as you don't stand in the open. Map is filled with shit so there's more than enough cover. Be aware tho, certain weapon (mk7) shreds you in an instant if you're staying still.
