Achieve anything in a game. POP UP - YOU DID GREAT!
Nobody can actually enjoy their games without needing to be reassured that they are amazing.

Achievements serve the purpose of showing game progress, as well as challenges. Its cool seeing statistics (and a bit depressing) of how many people even bothered to finish the game.
I would only consider 100%ing a game if it has exceptional replayability like Terraria. But take a game like HL2, even though the achievements are cool I didn't really bother doing all of them (only fun one I did was ravenholm with gravity gun only).
I really don't notice people talking about 100%ing games very often, and even if they do its just one comment. Does this bother you that much? How does this ruin gaming in general? Can't you just ignore the faggots talking about this?
