Vaati is a hack
ELDEN RING LORE
We know.
Ranni
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI I HATE RANNI
I love Ranni
How did Ranni know about the half cursemark body/soul thing? Did she research it and find someone had done it in the past, or was it a lucky guess?
We know for a fact someone did it in the past: The Gloam Eye Queen, an empyrean that was likely related to her
Do you think he reads critiques and retranslations and will correct based on translation errors or will he double down?
I don't get it.
>Vaati is a hack
we've been saying this for almost a decade now.
real Yea Forumsirgins are EpicNameBros either by actually enjoying his old vids or bullying him for being a ricemuncher
sauce
Asking again.
The Golden Beast grab attack put you on a Rune Arc and then impales you with a dozen of golden splinters. Marika is apparently been hit by the same thing, but the splinter that impales her is not golden, it has instead the color scheme of Destined Death (red/black). Someone has an idea of why?
It's the Lance of Longinus
probably just an evangelion reference
stop thinking this game make sense
>bullying him for being a ricemuncher
>not for working on Bloodborne while his wife had a miscarriage
It wouldn't really change his assessment much. The GW doesn't need a parasitic tree to prove it is evil and desires the lands between. The elden ring itself is already a parasite
godskin clothes, godslayer sword, black fire incantations
Why? What it has parasitized?
Why do Page enemies drop a shortbow instead of a crossbow?
The Erd Tree grew from a space seedling planted by the Greater Will. It is an invasive Lavos-like creature. Eventually it will reach sufficient size and rocket off into space to begin the cycle again
I never even thought Erdtree is a """""""""parasite omg omg batchest"""""""""""" . It is clear that underground tree is erdtrees roots
Maliketh's MK Ultra programming kicked in after Marika shattered the Elden Ring
Those came after retard
the finger reader says Marika is the parasitic host for the elden ring, the beast itself looks like certain types of parasites too
None of which mention the body/soul half cursemark
GEQ has rotted your brain
Oh fuck just like what Iji said would happen to Blaidd
No, it is terrestrial in origin and it isnt up for debate.
Ok so i just beat the game. Did pretty much every area and every major questline. here are my questions:
What is the frenzied flame? what are the 3 fingers and why are there merchants everywhere underground?
What is the Greater Will?
What is the scarlet rot?
What is destined death? Why is Godwyn growing on the roots of the tree?
What are the two fingers?
What's the deal with the haligtree and why does it exist?
What are the godskin apostles?
What's the deal with Mohg? why does it say he comes from the earth?
What's the deal with Morgott and the Omen?
What even is the elden ring/elden beast/erdtree? are they all the same entity?
What is the Dung Eater and why is he supposedly the most horrendous being in Elden Ring?
What's up with the Jewish esoterism in this game?
I know its a lot of questions but this game is massive. I tried finding things out myself by reading item descriptions but some things are just too obscure
Headcanon that's radagon
retard
That makes sense
oh I thought you meant using the rune of death to do god slaying stuff. Yeah the split thing is never mentioned but it seems multiple people in the game like Fia know how the rune works so I don't think it's something ranni couldn't figure out
Source
No lore reason. In the boss battle the attacks are golden because it needs to show that it's holy damage. Marika's spike is red because it looks cooler.
>What is the frenzied flame?
>What is the Greater Will?
>What is the scarlet rot?
Outer gods, in the Lovecraft sense
Play the game again you didn’t beat it
Nice image of turtle magic
Ranni Ranni Ranni!
ok retard
Why are Page enemies and their fire attack the most annoying thing in the Capital above ground?
>it is terrestrial in origin
What
Obsessed
Elden Stars literally describes the EB crashing into TLB from space. Try again retard.
because it's so hecking cool and funny to have a random shitter machine gun you to death the second you walk into a room. Le classic fromsoft! hehe
Zanzibart told her don’t you know
wtf what did my schizo jellyfish post have to do with you
QUESTION
was Godwyn killed before or after Marika shattered the ring?
The Elden Beast isn't the Erdtree retard
before
you didn't play the game
Its really funny watching atheists try to understand the plot of this game
before
Not an argument
>What is destined death?
the rune of death, a piece of the elden ring. It is capable of slaying gods
>What are the two fingers?
They get messages from the greater will.
>What are the godskin apostles?
A group of people that used to slay gods using the rune of death, lead by the gloam eye queen
>What's the deal with Morgott and the Omen?
Atavism to a more primordial form of life, closer to the crucible. Shunned by moden society that doesn't like such things. Beloved by Godfrey and his knights of the crucible
>What even is the elden ring/elden beast/erdtree? are they all the same entity?
Elden ring and elden Beast are the same thing. They are an extremely powerful parasite sent from the greater will. The erdtree is or was the crucible of life, all life came from it and all souls return to it
>Not an argument
Not an argument
He also said the crucible knights are treated the same as the misbegotten. It says right in their item descriptions they served godfrey, he’s an idiot
Ok, where is that said? The intro made me think it was after. I remember Rogier talking about it but not exactly what he said
Zanzibart is the most toxic thing to happen to the souls fandom ever. It is yet to be certain whether the fandom can survive this new Zanzibart plague. Because believe it or not this single meme has the power to kill soulslike games entirely by exposing the fatal flaw of the formulaic nature of the way they are telling their stories, which can kill interest in their stories and lore entirely.
Wouldn't say they're treated like the misbegotten but people clearly came to dislike them
See the last line
I don't understand how people keep thinking the beast is the tree. Or that the beast is the ring. They're not the same fucking thing.
The Primordial Erdtree, i.e. what the Erdtree started as initially, was the crucible of life where all life was mixed together. It is not from space unless you think the crucible is from space
Akuma in a chefs hat doing a commercial
"this is my sauce"
The beast is quite literally the ring actually
The tree is its own thing however
>What is the frenzied flame? what are the 3 fingers and why are there merchants everywhere underground?
The Frenzied flame is an Outer God, an entity from outside the land between with great power but that can only influence it trought it's followers
>What is the Greater Will?
Another Outer God
>What is the scarlet rot?
The physical manifestation of another Outer God
>What is destined death?
The Rune of Death. Basically the "Everyone will die" part of the rules of the world that was removed from them by Marika, which removed death from the land between.
>Why is Godwyn growing on the roots of the tree?
His soul was killed by Destined Death while leaving his body "Alive". Which create undeath and a big curse that started spreading from the roots.
>What are the two fingers?
Corporeal envoys of the Greater Will
>What's the deal with the haligtree and why does it exist?
Miquella created and alternative to the Erdtree in an attempt to find a cure for the scarlet rot of her sister.
>What are the godskin apostles?
Followers of a Goddess that was slayed by Maliketh long time ago.
>What's the deal with Mohg? why does it say he comes from the earth?
He's a omen, and like all the Omens born from nobles they were confined in underground dungeons since birth because they brought shame to their family.
>What's the deal with Morgott and the Omen?
Morgott was a demigod that was confined in a dungeon from birth because he was an Omen, like Mohg. But when the shattering happened and he saw that all of his brothers and sisters all fucked up to do their own thing he rose up and took power to try to restore order.
>What even is the elden ring/elden beast/erdtree? are they all the same entity?
The Elden Ring and the Elden Beast are the same thing yes. They are the enforcers or the Order of the Greater Will,
>What is the Dung Eater and why is he supposedly the most horrendous being in Elden Ring?
It's literally just a necrophiliac rapist.
Its literally right in everyone's faces. The Erd Tree (originally called the WORLD tree) is from the planet. Its not an alien. Frankly there is very little alien shit in this game, you have to make stretches for any of it.
>which removed death from the land between.
not true, why do people parrot vaati on this? it removed "those that live in death"
Golden star bearing the beast, the falling star became the ring. Not the beast.
How the fuck do you know that?
What is the frenzied flame? what are the 3 fingers and why are there merchants everywhere underground?
The frenzied flame is an outer god, which are roughly analogues to the protogenoi of greek myth; personifications of primordial concepts. The frenzied flame is madness, despair, and entropy. More simply, the return of everything to the One Great through decay, destruction, and degradation. The three fingers is its agent. The merchants were genocided after being accused of heresy by being buried alive, and their collective despair summoned the frenzied flame.
>What is the Greater Will?
Another outer god. Of light, life, and rigid order.
>What is the scarlet rot?
The emanation of the outer god of rot and disease.
>What is destined death? Why is Godwyn growing on the roots of the tree?
Destined death is the rune of death, a sigil that governs the literal concept it's named after. Godwyn only half-died, and now spreads through the roots of the erdtree like a cancer, metastasizing his blight along with him.
>What are the two fingers?
Agents of the Greater Will.
>What are the two fingers?
It's an invention of Miquella, as a direct replacement for the now impotent and arguably parasitic erdtree.
>What are the godskin apostles?
Members of an ancient cult of death, once governed by the gloam-eyed queen, the original holder of the rune of death.
>What's the deal with Mohg? why does it say he comes from the earth?
Mohg is the twin of Morgott and of the golden lineage. Like Morgott, he was imprisoned underground for being born an omen, unlike Morgott, he embraced his curse and became the lord of blood.
>What's the deal with the omen?
Some people are randomly born as omen, which is being "blessed" by the crucible that causes them to wildly mutate and grow horns. They're seen as abominations, and either killed or imprisoned.
>The Erd Tree (originally called the WORLD tree)
Enia actually straight up calls it the world tree at one point
>The Rune of Death. Basically the "Everyone will die" part of the rules of the world that was removed from them by Marika
You mean by ranni.
>The elden ring itself is already a parasite
So it's a parasite that was taken over by another parasite? Huh?
Did you miss the part where the Elden Ring has existed far before GW and the Elden Beast arrived? It's a fundamental part of the world that dictates the natural laws. Before Marika was the one in control of it, the dragons had it. GW just wants to use it via a vessel like Marika to push an order that benefits it, e.i. one where it feeds off of life energy coming and going from the Erdtree. Elden Beast is just a parasite that basically became the ring as another means of defense against somebody else taking it and fucking with GW's desired order.
Finally someone who gets it. "Outer God" does not mean alien.
>Followers of a Goddess that was slayed by Maliketh long time ago.
It was an empyrean, and she wasn't slayed as far as we know but Maliketh took back the rune of death from her
No by Marika.
>What is the frenzied flame?
The right choice. Also basically a demon.
>what are the 3 fingers
Three fingers are an extension of the frenzied flame like the 2 fingers are an extension of the GW.
>why are there merchants everywhere underground?
They got genocided for heretical beliefs and in their despair they summoned the frenzied flame
>What is the Greater Will?
A god in space. Lovecraftian shit.
>What is the scarlet rot?
There is a rot god, and he likes things rotten. It was released by Melania after she got BTFO in a fight against Radahn. Sore loser bitch.
>What is destined death?
Death as we in our world understand it. With destined death bound in a rune to Maliketh, nothing would actually die permanently.
>Why is Godwyn growing on the roots of the tree?
Godwyn was slain by the black knives/Ranni, but only his soul. His corpse is undead aka those who live in death. He was buried in the erdtree roots because that's common practice, but is now a cancerous growth tainting the roots and spreading undeath
>What are the two fingers?
Messengers that communicate the greater will's.... will.
>What's the deal with the haligtree and why does it exist?
Miquella created it as an alternative or to bypass the greater will.
>What are the godskin apostles?
God killers from a previous era who wielded destined death
>What's the deal with Mohg?
>What's the deal with Morgott and the Omen?
An omen is seen as a curse in the age of the erdtree, but it used to be seen as a blessing in a prior age.
>What even is the elden ring/elden beast/erdtree? are they all the same entity?
The elden beast was sent by the greater will to establish the golden order in the lands between. It's a parasite and it infested an existing great tree which is now the erdtree
>What is the Dung Eater
I mean, you've seen the guy. He's pretty straightforwardly fucked in the head. Murder rape curse.
Then why are there shit tons of "those that live in death" around the lands between? Marika instated the order in which souls return to the erdtree for reincarnation, instead of finding true rest.
>Did you miss the part where the Elden Ring has existed far before GW and the Elden Beast arrived?
lol, source?
>It's a fundamental part of the world
source?
Ranni literally admits to it. Play the game.
wrong, it was already proven in the original japanese text that the beast became the ring
>not bullying him for not fucking his sister to continue the ENBloodline
Then post the japanese text
Everyone knows.
What, that retard didn't even understand they are the Erdtrees roots? Its blatantly clear, the giant roots are directly under the capital
She didn't remove the fucking rune from the ring you god damn retard. She stole a fragment of it from Maliketh who was holding the rune instead of it being in the ring.
Those that live in death are a consequence of Godwyn curse, and Godwyn curse only existed because Ranni fucked up his death. Even ignoring Vaaty interpretation the Rune of Death is used to kill people that would otherwise not be able to die. It being in the Elden Ring causing people to not really die makes no sense.
Ranni lies about tons of shit. Completely in character to cover for her momdad.
