3D World's postgame is the most challenging content between either of the 2 games, but legitimately either of these could stand tall as one of my favorite 3D platformers ever. Try both out eventually if you're able

i didn't like any of the wii/3ds kirby games and I tried the demo of this and found it boring.

It's good, but it doesn't feel like a 3D platformer at all. Almost reminds me of Links Awakening.

I'd go with Kirby. 3D World feels like they they tried to take a New Super Mario Bros. game and convince everyone it was a Super Mario Galaxy game.

Forgotten Land is probably the worst main Kirby game since they revived the series with Return to Dream Land, but that's a testament to how good the series is.

It's so much better without aimless open world wandering like in odyssey, botw, or elden ring.

I think KFL is better overall but if you're strictly looking for challenge, get Mario.

Not even Amazing Mirror, the most-exploration involved Kirby to date, had anything like that.
The demo is there to give you a small taste, you're obviously not going to get the best showcase in world 1 of any game. But if you didn't like Planet Robobot then you may just not like Kirby.

It's a shame that the first level/demo are so easy, the learning curve quickly ramps up to a decent level, way better than 3D world

It's all so tiring. Even the zoomzooms are sick of it when they've rarely known any different.
The one thing Nintendo can do right is put out a finished product. Ain't always the best, or original, or even very interesting, but at least it's fucking finished.

This is the only Kirby game since Dream Land 3 that caught my attention, everything since those seemed to blend together.

I like Kirby games (mainly Adventure and 64), I just wasn't a fan of RtDL and the 3ds games that followed its gameplay-style.

i love both games but 3d world is overall better, plus it also has way more content

Any lore fags in this thread by now? Since it wasn't really explained why Fecto specifically picked planet popstar to farm his slaves from, I have developed the theory that eons ago when the ancients first left their old planet behind the first new world they landed on through their new dimension warping technology was actually planet popstar. This is also kinda referenced when Leopold explained that they entered a land of dreams. With this Fecto tried to enslave its inhabitants as revenge to the ancients, whose ancestors may still live there. That planet popstar was the ancients first homebase would also explain why a lot of their ancient technology is scattered around the planet, e.g. the dream rod. Adeline being a human could also mean that she's the only living relative of the ancients left on the planet. Another thing that would add to this is Magolors ship that was also build by the ancients specifically opening a warp hole to planet popstar, meaning that its location must have been imbeded into the ships system as a point to return to when threatened.

I don't have my WiiU plugged in anymore. I think it took me like 20 hours? Kirby looks like it also took me... 20 hours to 100%. Huh. Felt shorter than that.

This level of polish is standard for Kirby games. It's unfortunate that so many people didn't -get- Star Allies so it'll forever be regarded as a poor entry in the series. (The game would be better if you could just disable the 4 character helper system though)

I actually felt this way too. I have both games on Switch and it felt like Mario 3D World took longer to complete (including Bowser's Fury). But I have 15 hours total on 3D World and 30 hours total on Kirby.

I like talking about games I’ve recently finished and discussing them with others. I’ll be honest, my first post was intentionally provocative but I’m genuinely perplexed by the game’s exceedingly positive reception. The fact that the game’s frame rate never seems to be brought up is also strange, considering we’re on Yea Forums, a place where frame rate is practically king.

If this were Mario or Zelda or Pokemon I'd be right there with you, but Kirby is innocent.

It's going to be weird going back to slaughtering Waddle Dees in the next game after spending a whole game rescuing them and building a happy, thriving town for them.

I had a lot of fun with this, but if there's one thing I hope they do going forward, assuming mouthful mode is here to stay, they should have abilities somehow interact with the mouthfuls.
