Halo MCC update
firefight population was low, hopefully this will revive it now
About time. Also your forgetting the flood drive vehicles again, that was only on H2 but now Odst flood have. So thank fuck
im just hoping we start getting some good halo 2 servers going
yeah thats another pretty cool feature.
And now pls:
- PC local offline coop
- Crossplay coop
- optional multiplayer bots
Then they can leave the MCC alone forever
>Crossplay coop
they actually added that today too. just for 3 and odst for now, but its there.
>still didn't fix halo 2 online co-op
Don't care
Never uninstalled the MCC. I love firefight.
Halo they bothered to fix the various graphical issues in Halo Reach yet?
youtube.com
Huh? Are you ready MCC CHADS?
holy shit installing right now
Really? That's pretty alright.
these seem a lot more nitpicky than the halo 1 graphical issues
oh shit, nice
this begs the question, why even bother with infinite?
It’s listed to be improved, still haven’t tested on my end
I already sent in tickets to the devs, but it looks like these issues weren’t addressed
I'm happy if bloom is toned down.
What's the issue? Played Halo 2 with a friend as well as my brother months back and I never noticed any issues aside from rare random disconnects
>lying about steam workshop
Fuck you op
Awesome, now all they have to do is add local split screen and steam deck support (for online play) to the PC version and I'm ready to come back.
Seems like all they need to do is just turn on bloom, no? At least that's the only difference I'm seeing
its coming "soon" according to 343 time
halowaypoint.com
You also become flood btw
If you play with a friend whose ping is high from being overseas or on the other side of the coasts the disconnects get more severe
>Campaign Customization for Halo 4
>When starting a Halo 4 mission, enable the Campaign Customization option to see equipped weapon skins in-game.
Considering they already added so much skin bullshit into the game, is there a way to make armor permutations/custom colors also show up in campaign for all games? Also why didn't they add 3 ODST parts to Halo 3?
Okay but when can I play Coldsnap and Hugeass MP on Halo CE in MCC
I see. Hope that gets fixed soon
>implying we aren’t the flood already
Bloom is tied to the original games resolution of 1152x720 with bloom reducing at higher and higher resolutions.
god i wish
Assuming 343 isn't lying through their teeth about Steam Workshop, soon.
>Still didn't fix Halo 2 Anniversary campaign performance on Xbone/Xbone X when it ran 60 fps perfectly fine pre-reach update
This. I got excited when they announced full modding support for the games and was hyped to get to be able to play some Custom Edition maps. 2-3 years later and it basically amounted to nothing so far.
That's exaxtly the point. There's no reason to bother with Infinite right now until the game gets its shit together, which won't be for a long time.
>Didn't get to play it back in the day since I had halo on OG xbox and thus it was not moddable
>Making it work with MCC would be the first time I get to play it
I hope they do honestly, just so I can see what the hubub is about.
is custom edition actually dead? or are there still servers running? havent played it in a really long time, iirc the servers ran on gamespy though
How is a skeleton crew of like 4 people worming on MCC able to put out better updates than the thousand people working on Shitfinite?
It took 7 years before MCC was in an acceptable position. I expect Infinite will take about that long. Although to be fair, MCC was dead in the water until around 2017. I suppose it's more fair to say it only took 4 years to fix MCC. It just took them 3 years to decide to do it lol.
fuck yes
The skeleton crew aren’t bombarded by upper management I’m assuming
at least infinite's only real problem right now is the lack of content. MCC on console was literally broken for fucking years and barely functioned at all. aside from the big team battle issues halo infinite has been fine
There's no red tape stonewalling them from improving the game. 343 and MS in general is filled with middle management with backwards ideas that won't let anything good get through. There's a reason why Infinite has a shit UI, no red reticle on PC, Ubishit open world design, and an overpowered starting weapon. The reason is some retard making 6 figures decided that based on some bullshit data analysis that these are good decisions and they won't admit they were wrong. Meanwhile the engineers, programmers, and level designers who actually enjoy Halo are prevented from fixing it.
This is also the reason Valve is the way it is; Gabe hates this model so much that he would literally let Valve never ship a game again if it means never letting corporate bureaucracy create banal and lukewarm shit.
>Gabe hates this model so much that he would literally let Valve never ship a game again if it means never letting corporate bureaucracy create banal and lukewarm shit.
member artifact?
Damn, thought season 8 update was the last one. Time to chuck in 400+ more hours into this
Artifact was a group of devs being out of touch with their customers; not middle management creating a product solely based off of data and marketing analytics.
Infinite is so fucking dead lmao
odst is trash
That’s nothing.
Try being a retarded slave to this game since 2014…
>having that much time on the game and still doesn't have every trophy
embarassing desu.
not him, but im assuming hes missing the bullshit halo 2mpa achievements, like getting a ton of environmental kills. those are essentially impossible without boosting.
>Coldsnap
Man this brings back memories
When MCC came out on PC I was determined to get every last achievement, but I just can't bring myself to play Halo 4. I didn't want to be petty and gave it a 100% honest to god second chance, but it was actually worse than I remember. I pushed through H2 LASO but I don't have the achievement for beating H4 on legendary
Likely because it isn't 343 that do these updates. I think they use outsourcing companies for mcc probably Certain Affinity.
completely understandable. I played through it on Normal and I do not think I could stomach it on a harder difficulty.
so you beat all of spartan ops solo on legendary, but didnt want to finish halo 4 campaign on legendary? spartan ops is way more of a slog to get through than the campaign
>tfw a 13-year old game gets more content than Infinite

Linux bros...
Honestly, people will give you shit and mock you with "OLD GOOD NEW BAD" if you say stuff like "newer stuff is generally just worse", but the fact that even in the context of being a new release of an older game MCC is just absolutely mogging Infinite with what is presumably a skeleton crew over at 343 just goes to show that it isn't really an incorrect attitude to have.
Did they really? That's bigger news to me than the firefight update, it means I can take MCC around on my linux laptop.
>firefight being updated like this
I think I actually might redownload MCC. Well at least ODST and Reach. It's always felt too easy, not sure if this will make things more difficult
>bandana now available for everything except Reach and 4.
>linux

>*After some testing, this update appears to have entirely broken Halo MCC on Linux Proton / Steam Deck.
Laso is a bitch and all I have left is a 2 and 3. Doing it with a friend
You can make fun of me all you want, but my linux installation is on a portable external SSD which is harder to do on windows, if they add split screen after this, that means I can just take a hard drive out of my shirt pocket and some controllers out of a bag and start playing halo anywhere there's a PC capable of running it on at least original quality graphics. I think that would be worth celebrating just purely for the pragmatic aspect of that, plus imagine just whipping out a steam deck and getting Legendary LASO going with a buddy.
Is it worth to paying $22.5 for the multiplayer?
based fuck linux fags
