Both of my parents are disabled and can't take care of themselves properly
My mother gets severe diabetic nerve pain in her legs if they get too cold, but she never checks their temperature herself so I have to check every hour. Instead she complains she's too hot if she wears a blanket or socks and regularly leaves her legs exposed. Then during the night she can't sleep and soils herself when the pain tremors too much
She used to self medicate with at least 2L of wine every evening but I had to take it away and limit what she gets because she kept getting smashed and spilling her pills over the floor, which is bad because my 2 and 4 year old nephews play there when they visit
