So do I need to do Ranked PVP to get the armor set or do I just need to participate in PVP in general to earn series levels? If it needs to be ranked does my rank effect what I get in anyway?

Pepsiman that broke raiding community and birthed parsing almost on it own. A lot of novel job changes that very dividing as fuck, enochian, bow mages, drk mana management etc. On top of it, incredible composition strictness due to how buffs stacked which straigh up excluded several classes from more try hard parties. A lot of casual players couldn't handle this shit even at expert roulette level. It is pretty clear why they don't want that shit to happen again no matter lamentations and nostalgia of a more hardcore crowd.

You can participate in any kind of matchmade PvP activities. Ranks will give you the usual titles (Bronze-Diamond Wolf and a few others), and rank-themed fluff for your Adventurer Plate.

No, it's always been its strength since it allows you to be more proactive and catch mobs a further distance in front of you rather than needing them to clump up in closer proximity.
