Japanese games are generally the best games and your team doing well over there means good games come to your console of choice.

I wouldn't say their estimates are off that much, yes, they do overestimate and get positioning wrong sometimes but they do have an okay record with the relative position where each console is at regionally.
That being said, the rumormills and being an "insider" is quite profitable on Twitter or whatnot. No one is tracking them like with the tech world so when you become wrong, you can wave it away and say you meant later or people delayed it and people will eat your bullshit up if you aren't wrong all the time.
