You can go 25 str/ 50 arc. This way, you get the most damage out of your tools, and your holy moonlight sword will do more damage with the beams. You can use the tonitrus early on, your sidearm can be the logarius wheel (another str/arc weapon), or you can take something like a saw spear and put fire gems on it to make it scale with arcane completely

HMS is a mostly str based weapon. 50 arc is shit for tools as they need 99 and you will be locked to only the tricked heavies for arc scaling.

yes only the beams scale with arc which are the tricked R2s. they get a 2.00x multiplier because the magic base damage is so low.
tools go to 99 and the difference is massive. if you do an arc only build, 99 is the goal and there is no inbetween.
