I said that the side challenges were FUN. Maybe saving waddle dees unlocks more of those challenges later on. Also, the arena is probably locked beyond waddle dees which is something I fucking loved in super star. If they don't actually unlock anything meaningful then I guess I'll just rush

Super Star is the most overrated (and imo WORST) game in the series.

Most of the time you will be spamming attacks, even in postgame bosses. There's only 12 abilities/weapons all upgradeable, no charms.

It just sounds like you don't like the type of game that Kirby is. I found all the levels to be charming and fun, it was a pleasure to replay them. The boss fights were all fun to replay as well. The fact that you approach the game from a place where you're just rushing through the levels and hate everything so much you never want to play it again tells me you're just trying to force yourself to play a game you hate, and why would you do that to yourself? You want a Kirby game to be something it isn't, don't blame the game for that, it's just not for you.

People shat on you for this but this also bothered me. Often times I had to replay the level at least once because missions only get revealed one at a time for each clear.

Post game is 6 stages where you repeat certain segments of previous levels except they're harder, followed by another final boss and the ultimate cup z which is this game's true arena. This true arena is the easiest one yet.

Using the tools the developers took the time of implementing isn't cheesing, it's just that not using them is a way to get a harder challenge. Using that stuff mentioned above in ER is equivalent to juicing up using Deep Sleep/Cafe Boosters in Ultimate Arena Z. You took a lot of the challenge out of it in a way the developers couldn't have ignored, but that doesn't take away the option of a more challenging approach.

People only remember Super Star thanks to Milkyway Wishes and the fact that Sakurai developed it . Rest of the game is fragmented and super underwhelming.
