Game keeps going from 10/10 to 3/10

>game keeps going from 10/10 to 3/10

How can this be possible?
Some of the mechanics, enemies and levels are 10/10 then they just throw complete bullshit in randomly.

You'd think if they are capable of making absolutely amazing parts in the game they'd notice the absolute shit design in some of the other parts.

>throw complete bullshit in
like what? side dungeons? just ignore them, pick only those that give loot relevant to your build

welcome to every souls game ever
except this time around 3/10 is much more prevalent thanks to the open world

Why does everyone keep ignoring flaws of this game the flashiness is what blinds people.

>just use a guide to decide what areas to visit and what areas to ignore
Why would you want to play a game this way?

Haligtree is easy; what're you on about?

>pick only those that give loot relevant to your build
How are you meant to know before going in?
inb4 guide

Haligtree is a 10/10 though

It is easy, one of the redeemable parts of the mess that is the 2nd half of the game.

I didn't say otherwise. Why the fuck are you just assuming what I'm talking about?

It's impossible to imagine the same people who designed Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 coming up with the *teleports behind you* Castle Sol knight encounters. The flaws with From's early games did not come from trying to design meme enemies just so they could keep their ebin difficulty reputation up.

>The flaws with From's early games did not come from trying to design meme enemies just so they could keep their ebin difficulty reputation up.
Did you not play DaS2? The bosses were the welcome reprieve from some of dogshit enemies and placements.

no one ignores the flaws, some of the repeated bosses are genuinely dumb, damage should be slashed down across the board including the players, the framerate is dogshit, theres so much actualy criticism you can make about the game but people on this god forsaken board say shit like
>str is objectively dogshit
>the second half is bad
i do not believe for a second people unironically like limgrave and liurnia and maybe caleid more than literally EVERYTHING in the second half of them game

You post a picture and make a complaint - it's only natural to assume you're complaining about the stuff in the picture. Elphael is nice, easy and a lot of fun.

mountaintops were easily the worst areas in the game user

this is the main problem with nu souls
the fanbase hated every boss and every area that isn't designed like an epic action game so the new souls games have almost nothing but this type of enemy design
bloodborne ruined the series

why did you use a picture of haligtree retard. first time posting?

it's the worst area by process of elimination, im seeing people compare it to lost izalith.

>other parts
First time reading?

I also praised parts of it as 10/10, so why did you think I was shitting on Haligtree instead of praising?

The only way they could have made it worse is actually filled the area with items so you would want to explore and defeat the enemies instead of rush past it.

The first few hours of the game are amazing, as you're noticing the size and scale of the game and exploring Limgrave. Even the Lakes still had that initial excitement about it but then you slowly start to see how many enemies they recycle, especially in dungeons. Once you hit Leyndell you can really tell how much the game bottlenecks towards the end. There are areas that save the game though such as Siofra.

Still a great game, but it got old quick.

Because you posted a picture of Haligtree!

I don't fault you for drawing connection, I am questioning why people automatically think criticism is associated when praise was mentioned in the same paragraph.

>duuude just play with a guide and collect the loot you need
Sounds "fun". Those shit dungeons should've been post-game content like they were in BB, nobody would've complained then

Shhh leave elden fag to their illusion bliss, dont want them to wake up to such cold reality right?

Because the main point you're making is that parts of the game are shit. Obviously, if you don't tell us what said part is, and you post a picture alongside it, a normal human being is going to assume you're complaining about what's pictured. Do you really need to be told this?

Why didn't you question what parts I thought were good?

Why do people jump to circlejerk around criticism.

>pick only those that give loot relevant to your build
so... how would you know whats in there?
Why is it required for me to read a wiki for stuff like that?

There are only 3-4 good dungeons in total that are actually good. Stormveil castle, Castle Morne, Raya Lucaria, Carian Manor and Volcano Manor. Rest are just trash to mediocre.

Fuck off retards

>haligtree
>10/10
Only the visuals are 10/10. It is such a slogfest filled with recycled enemies and a non interesting layout otherwise. It just doesn't feel distinct enough.

>Elphael is.... LE BAD
can you faggots please kill yourselves already

It's literally been explained to you like 3 times by different people, how are you this slow?

I beat castle sol without dying once, and yes that includes the dual sword flippy dippy knight on the narrow walkway. fuck you faggot kys

Elphael looks nice but it lacks in it's character for not having unique enemies or unique enviromental mechanics or hazards. After playing the game for 60+ hours and getting to Haligtree through overcoming sheer challenges to face Malenia the whole dungeon feels underwhelming because it has a lot of recycled enemies slapped into it and no new ones to make it feel like it's own area.

Facts don't care about your feelings, you retarded faggot

Yes, what i am spitting out are facts and they don't give a shit about what you feel about the area, dumb fromdrone.

>place is a sanctuary for all the unwanted from all over the lands between
>AAAAHHHHH WTF WHY ISN'T EVERY ENEMY A NEW CREATURE

Haligtree might not be 10/10 but it is definitely huge step up from the oh fuck I hate snow which is just sand but in white.

>this is an excuse to add no new content
Why are you so mindbroken by legitimate criticism?

>that chromatic aberration

Even FromSoft isn't immune to it are they?

>you are not immediately frostbit from being in the snow area
That was underwhelming. The game literally doesn't have any environmental hazards apart from fucking swamps.

The game looks awful without it. So i am glad it has some CA.

You're a brown ESL millennial and you will seethe, mald, and cope over this game for as long as you live :)

i wish it had new enemies at least
its kinda shame how all the armies are basically just reskins of the sam soldiers, making them bit more distinct would have been cool

>says non white
Every time

hey user, what sword is that? looks cool

Well I am not asking for a frostbite it's just that too many new areas are just hey here is a big open area but now it's in different color. And because this is a video game we had to force plain, desert and snowfield into same map.

>Fromsoft invented the entire character of miquella, one of the most important characters in the lore, and created all the assets tied to him specifically so they could just reuse five enemy types for one optional area
900iq post, retardkun, truly

>i beat thing
>therefore it is good
ok

>Random reused enemies
>Nearly nothing of value
>Too long
Yeah, why would anyone ever do such a thing.
At least lost izalith didn't have giant versions of regular enemies. Anyone who defends that shit deserves a fucking bullet.

I think it would have added some character to the whole area though. Maybe not in every bit of the area but there could have been designated segments in the area with blizzard storm where you get frostbit by traversing those areas.

Plenty of people in real life are able to live in the snow and not get frostbitten from being outside for ten seconds

What the fuck does that even mean retard? Lmao I swear to God only Fromdrones justify shitty development practices with their retarded headcanon lore.

>The deep lore totally justifies the complete lack of originality you guys
The fucking state of fromdrones

see

If spics like you just went to target on time to start your shift and start stocking shelves when you're supposed to, we wouldn't have to deal with the catalog getting shat up with all your autistic cope all day every single day

>every non native English speaker is a spic
Cope Amerimutt. I am whiter than you, pathetic potato nigger.

Nah it goes from 5/10 to 10/10 when you get to post capitol

People are way too critical of this game. No one admits its perfect

>How can this be possible?
The price of being a big game.

It becomes pretty obvious what parts of the game are optional and what isn't

>ESLs cannot read
>ESLs cannot think
>ESLs cannot synthesize anything
>basic environmental context goes completely over their heads
at least you monkeys can stick to what you know and always come back here to farm (you)s

I wish they made more areas like Sens Fortress

It would've been okay if Nintendo did it. Unironically.

It's because it is genuinely amazing up to a specific point, after which it becomes a gauntlet of increasingly frustrating bosses (and one jobber) as you backtrack through areas you have already visited, which is the complete opposite of what made the rest of the game so good (finding new shit and exploring)

Elden Ring's progression is most aptly compared to a ruined orgasm at the end of an amazing handjob.

The side content was fun the first time but on my second character i just skipped all of it

It's funny because all your posts are barely legible drivel without a shred of substance. You're genuinely the least literate thing in this thread.

Where is this, I beat the game never see place like this

eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Godslayer's Greatsword

>he didn't explore every corner in the game
>he didn't go through the annoying evergaol hidden within snow in an area barren of content and items
Guess it's on you and not the developers for missing out hours of content due to missing one single gateway hidden behind a locked wall, hidden behind an evergaol, behind a snowstorm, behind annoying archers and invisible enemies
