I wish there were more games about being a fish.
Ace of Seafood is pretty good but there could be more high-budget productions. Why aren't Valve, EA or Derek Smart working on a high-quality being a fish game?

I caught a northern pike ice fishing in Minnesota as a teenager. I was visiting my aunt and uncle for Christmas, and like all uncles who live in Minnesota he had a cabin on a lake. So he dragged the ice fishing house out onto the lake with with his ATV and we sat out there for maybe 6 hours. My line was the only one that got a bite, and my cousins helped me pull up what turned out to be a northern pike. Best fish I ever tasted, though subsisting entirely on snacks and beers probably helped with that.

I tried before but I was so bored and out of it he could tell even though I was trying to be interested.

Real fishing isn't like video game fishing. You don't pull random fish out of the water after you cast your line in. You generally only catch the type that you are using the proper method for. I've been dragged out onto a lake enough times to know this.

I've never lived more than 30 minutes from an ocean in my life, and I'm going deep sea fishing with some buddies next month. Freshwater fishing is still the king.
