Why is Sony not revealing Horizon Forbidden West sales?? Most of their AAA games have had numbers out a month or two after release, what are they hiding??
Why is Sony not revealing Horizon Forbidden West sales?...
It's a fantastic fucking game, it's just that it came out close to the extremely overhyped elden jank
Everyone knows Elden Ring ate its sales. It sold fucking 12 million copies and western devs including the Horizon ones were all seething at its success.
This is the second time a foreign japanese game ate into what was supposed to be the big new sony AAA game franchise sales.
Truthfully I really dont see what even makes sony like Horizon that much, for me its just one of those games that relies on selling its stunning graphics and mediocre everything else.
>This is the second time a foreign japanese game ate into what was supposed to be the big new sony AAA game franchise sales.
The world is healing.
Jap devs please do this with other Western AAA dogshit.
I assume someone somewhere in publishing had a personal vendetta and wanted the game to fail so chose that release or it was just typical Sony hubris and they expected ER to not be an issue.
>it was just typical Sony hubris
It's much more believable that it was hubris. But then again even Bandai Namco didn't expect it would sell that much. The title literally did unprecedented numbers, it literally beat skyrims first months sales.
White people need to get over their jealousy and admit that literally more gamers wanted to play another dark souls vs another horizon zero dawn.
>Horizon Forbidden Sales
0 seconds since Yea Forums last cried over Sony
There's been way more horizon threads crying over elden ring than the other way around.
They are hiding bad sales that will make them look bad. They've always done that. They only talk about the successes. It's the reason why they have not given TLOU2 sales past the first week.
This is an ESL moment but I think in my life I never saw the word hubris and lately I see it like at least twice everyday.
horizon was a totally astroturfed IP, no one liked it, no one bought it, and no one especially cared about that cringe aloy character
they thought all that marketing and bundling would create organic demand for the IPs future, and it didnt.
they don't want to embarrass elden flop
>It's a fantastic fucking game
it will look tiny next to Elden Ring's 12 million sales
imagine daring to release an open world game in the same week as elden ring. surely one of the worthless suits saw it coming.
>CHIPMUNK ADVENTURE IN PLASTIC WORLD WAS A REALLY GOOD GAME GOYS IT HAD TRANNIES OKAY??!?!
>outsold by borderlands DLC
OH NO NO NO NO
Because nobody cares
Yeah you're right. Surprised we haven't seen any "HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST FASTEST SELLING SONY SEQUEL OF ALL TIME!*" *during the 3rd week February in London only Only digital sales accounted for
I don't play games that have an obvious nu-generation agenda.
Your gravitas is inspiring.
Gee I wonder
kek the fact that they havent paid fake journos to push those headlines yet must mean its really really bad
Why was Sony trying to push Horizon so hard anyways? It got fucking advertising in my city even. Seems like they were trying to make it the next TLoU or Uncharted, but I don't think normalfags care.
Imagine being out sold by a game thats been out for 9 fucking years
If it was a good game then it would of sold more. One game doesnt eat into anothers sales if both are good people will good.
Horizon had a unique world but horrible characters that got far worse. Get woke go broke is the reality of it.
More like laughing at their failure
They probably wanted it to be their next tRanSmEdiA IP.
jackbros....we did it our way
>Another Sony blunder
Love to see it
Bamco only expected 4 million sales in it's first month which makes ER's success even more astounding.
>all I can do is bait
Let me scroll through my list of tired reposts
>Horizon was a fantastic fucking game
>Elden Ring sucks
>you're seething at Sony
>rent free
>you must love Nintendo
>seethe
>cope
>have sex chud
Ok that ought to do it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
fucking europoors and their god awful taste
A shame nothing will be able to compete with Starfield.
Realistically, someone in marketing probably said they didn't have a large crossover market and had data to back it up using average sales trends for FROM games on Playstation hardware so they went ahead with the release. This shit is far more mundane than you guys think it is.
ER didn't have a huge marketing footprint either so its massive first month is largely organic.
I don't even know who the fuck liked the first Horizon
Tranny game yawn
Something of the game’s budget needs 6 million sales just to break even. If it isn’t a cultural phenomenon, it’s not coming anywhere close.
>Truthfully I really dont see what even makes sony like Horizon that much
It's pretty simple. All the top executives are European now and Euro nepotism is pushing their shit to the front. The CEO of Guerilla Games shouldn't have gotten promotions the way he did after all the mediocre performances that studio had, but the Euro push to the top of Playstation gave him a free ride.
Just like how the Canadians at the top during early PS4 pushed so many gay indie games before they all got pushed out.
The SJW fears the Jap
All developers should be forbidden to use Twitter or social media. Just make content for your game.
They chose to define themselves via Uncharted and Horizon falls in that aesthetic since who knows what the fuck ND is doing.
Fuck off. I like following Japanese artists and their shitposting mini comics and papercraft dioramas.
Let me ask you a genuine question user and I am not like the other people in the thread:
I played the original Horizon Zero Dawn when it came to PC. It had a lot of issues. Primarily the game was clearly an amalgamation of other popular open world mechanics. It brought nothing new other than the idea of fighting robot dinosaurs. Everything else felt like it was simply taken from popular games in an effort to over stuff the game so that it "has" to be good. I did not hate it, but I ended up not finishing the main game. I beat the DLC, but quit soon after that.
What does Forbidden West do to change that? Does it have meaningful changes to improve the game and give it more of an identity? Or is it simply the same thing with prettier graphics and a new map?
>gta5 is 2nd in EU
Those europoors are so desperate they play a game where they get to larp as americans living in LA. lmfao almost makes me feel bad for them
>it's just that it came out close to
>implying
>This is the second time a foreign japanese game ate into what was supposed to be the big new sony AAA game franchise sales.
whats the other game?
it would have failed on it's own.
>It's a fantastic fucking game
BOTW and the original Horizon, I'm assuming
>The world is healing.
beating AAAtrash isnt a big win
whats the point of Sony pushing Horizon if its going to be on PC?
Just like The Flop of Us 2. You know for sure that if that game sold well, they'd plaster it all over the place while jerking themselves off. Instead it flopped and Sony just pretends it didn't even happen.
You will never be a woman.
Games gonna have you pick your pronouns lmao
Are you high shitskin?
