On a controller it's easy to fuck up diagonal inputs and in RW that often means falling to instant death, even if you fucked up for only one frame.

You can trade a pearl for a lamp to the scavenger shop that's right at the entrance of the Shaded Citadel from Garbage Wastes. The game purposefully puts some right outside the area.

I think its funny that theres a shitload of lore in this game and the only way to access it is to inconveniently find and then carry pearls across the entire map to looks to the moon

I know what you mean and it is one of my worries, but considering the devs themselves have given it the okay I assume for the most part its following the lore closely, and anything that doesn't will be kinked out now that its being worked on officially.

Nobody had a problem with MSC when it was the super cool and ambitious mod that was going to triple the game’s content and introduce 5 new play styles but now that it’s dev sanctioned and supported suddenly it’s going to permanently ruin the game.

it's not a platformer. in the strictest sense it would be a derivative of games like super meatboy or i wanna be the guy, which are played on keyboard because you can operate controls much faster on keys than you can on controllers, especially back-and-forth motions

From what I understand the most important person behind Rain World was Joar Jakobsson. I've heard it wasn't his decision to make this mod a DLC, and he won't be doing any work on it before it's released. The Twitter account appears to be ran by James Primate.
If this is true then I have zero hope.
