Playing through the series for the first time. 1 was pretty good, was really interesting to read all the back story and most of the side missions were well written / had some interesting moral dilemmas. 2 felt better but despite have more variety in the characters it felt more like a science fantasy game than true science fiction. 3 just feels kind of rushed so far. Really felt like they didn't know what kind of game they wanted to make. Don't remember KOTOR being this inconsistent

i never finished 2 again after my second playthrough, i just modify my old save to use it for ME3

It had a few modules but the main thing was making being a Spectre matter, giving you control over your ship in terms of customisation, military presence, a gun range. It also let you use squadmates if they were on your ship alongside the story, like Wrex and Miranda. I believe they're making it work with LE now.
