take me back

I wish we can go back.

>you will never play the finished Harbor City

I'm gonna stop 9/11

remember seeing that in the game section at blockbuster. never got to play it though because it was rated m

I did not care for the grimdark tone. sucked all the fun out of the game.

OH N-

The sheer grimdark edge is the most fun part, I unironically love how grungy the levels are and the vehicle designs are the best in the series.

Couldn't disagree more.

>Three months in the nuthouse. It was the longest I've ever been confined.

>head gets set on fire by a priest
Why didn't he just put it out with water?

>Warning: Meds have no effect; Lost cause.
Sounds like a lot of posters I know.

Worst Twisted Metal. Pure juggalo edgelord cringe

>check BIO of a chateracter

NOT A PATIENT

Do we really have that many schizos on Yea Forums nowadays?

Yes.

>all 8 CPU vehicles gang up on you constantly

That's pretty much every twisted metal game.

Giving him pills will not put out the fire.

Give him the normal pills.

>autism
That's for the kid isn't it? That father is technically dead so you can't really diagnose him with anything.

Yeah, the kid is an autist savant.

Really? Even about the vehicles? Man, alright.

>making the airplane crash
>making the train crash

I love the interactive destructible environments.

fuck I never knew about that one

It's been a long while since I played but IIRC that specific one is how you unlock one of the extra levels. Also I never noticed how tiny all the traffic and vehicles are compared to the road, that makes Forza look like a slot car track.

There's another one on highway loop that blows a hole open in the tunnel where you can get one of the cubes to unlock a level.

DO A BARREL ROLL

i remember when I first saw one of the cube things and it blew my mind how smooth the animation looked.

>just take the train bro
Well TMB does run at 60fps.

Attached: choo choo motherfucker.webm (960x540, 1010.04K)

this shit gave me nightmares, not gonna lie, although now that i actually watch it again the way the train cars flop down and turn into nondescript little bits looks so much like when a coaster derails in roller coaster tycoon that it's' funny again

Honestly I'm impressed that none of these animations have the ps2 hardware a hard time.

There isn't much going on in the animations when you really break them down. A few moving models, the big buildings just sink into the ground and are covered up by smoke, and the actual particle effects aren't too intricate (especially since IIRC that's one of the things the PS2 actually excelled at). It's probably not all that more intensive than having to handle some of the huge levels like Suburbs to start with.

You've played the 70%done version tho right?
I hated the robot sweettooth. Always thought that was gay af.
Based minion poster, although i hated the semi truck design rather he had his trademark tank.

I still think car design and overall atmosphere belongs to TM2

It just blows my mind how much attention to detail was put into this game.

>replay Need for Speed Most Wanted recently
>end up looking up concept art and cut content
>find this
If you told me some of the concept artists were Twisted Metal fans, I'd believe you.

>the alt attack with the gas can
>charges it up and it goes off like a nuke

My favorite thing has always been all the hammerspace weapon animations when changing weapons or firing. I don't care of most of them don't make sense, they look so neat. Plus all the little animated bits on the cars that shake around and fall off as they take damage, I always remember the spare tires on the back of Crazy 8 in particular.

IIRC a lot of the artists who did concept art for games worked for multiple studios. Lee wilson did art for a lot of shit.

A lot of the vehicles are very detailed, more so than I thought. A lot of the machine guns on the cars have moving parts i.e. rotating barrels or barrels that move back and forth from recoil.

The robot Sweet Tooth is admittedly weird but the regular van design is fucking great. Black's almost art deco style is IMO what elevates it above just dark edginess, there's a rhyme and reason to it, it isn't just spikes and tires.

Anyone got a webm of that secret special animation for Shadow in Black? I remember there was a claim that it briefly showed her topless, so I tried it in Lost on the PS2 version of Head-On, and they must have censored it by then by texturing a bra on her.

It's real but I don't have any screenshots saved.

Yeah for a serious take in the story they really nailed it. Paint it black was perfect and the menu music is pretty cool for dark industrial synth w/e

Never really liked the soundtrack of this game, the ones that came before and after sounded much better, but thinking about it, i don't know what else would fit it's mood much better.

There's gameplay up on YT, it seems like a lot of the assets for harbor city were left over in lost and some modders got most of the content working again. It's a shame the game never got finished but it's the closest we'll ever get. What I really want is someone to make a pc port of tmb already since the debug version is readily available.

Dude you can literally buy this right now on the PlayStation store. Like it's only $10 you goober.

>giving sony money when you can just emulate it

Attached: clown world.png (1920x1080, 1.26M)

I believe harbor city came playable on a version of twisted metal head on.

That's what lost is but it's only a small fraction of what harbor city was.

What the fuck happened with twisted metal 2012?
And how has snoy not brought this back now that they have a functioning online network?

Sony is trying to revive it, they're making a shitty tv show for their network and some studio is supposedly going to work on a new game.

Ok ignore that I misread your post, as for tm2012 it was originally intended as an only only game but sony got involved and told the team to make a single player hence why the story is so short.

online only*

There was infighting between Jaffe and other leads. Also limited budget. The game is fast and has some kewl stuff but it has alot wrong with it

>That civilian car taking on fucking Mr.Grimm and then chilling next to Minion before driving away

What a chad

>Mr. Grimm fucking DIES from the civvie car

I kinda miss how in old twisted metal peds would shoot at you.

black would have been better if there were rooftop/window snipers that shoot everyone

There's a few levels where there's police shooting at you in black but they don't do any damage.

The way this game was censored in Australia was hilarious.

>preacher end movie

Attached: 1642315195701.png (500x481, 398.16K)

Don’t get me wrong the multiplayer is important. I loved TM black split screen and would have enjoyed having something similar to play on my ps4 last gen. But the singleplayer is insanely important too. What made the decide to do THAT as a last minute addition.

>the cop character end movie
this always triggered my autism like bullshit a wounded thug no aim fires one time through a window across the street and one taps a cop that needed a scoped rifle to even see him

Attached: 1605745497294.jpg (640x605, 63K)

He got really, really lucky.

Sony probably thought it wouldn't do well as an mp only game.

>the sound of power missles
