There are a lot of fantastic platformers out there, many 10/10s even, but I'd agree that SMB3 is the only 11/10. God came down and made this game.

Mario World is the better 2D game, all of the 3D games except maybe Sunshine are far better

SMB3 has great music and significantly improved the visual design of the series, but it's too fucking easy and there are too many filler levels with no new ideas or challenges. Even the original Super Mario Bros. is better simply by virtue of having some degree of difficulty. SMB3 will make you fucking fall asleep if you aren't a boomer baseding through the whole thing because it's your heckin wholesomerino childhood game.
