Underrail was very dissapointing imo
The build diversity is cool, but beyond that I felt none of the soul I felt from fallout. Even 3 had a more enjoyable setting to explore.

I used to play Fallout while I lied in bed with my ex-girlfriend in her little apartment at college. It's hard to play now even though years have gone by. I've found another woman and I love her, even dated her longer at this point, but it's not the same. I'll never know the passion that I felt with my first love again, and I guess I'm alright with that. Smile that it happened as they say. New Vegas or 3? Never played a Fallout game before. The only important thing is that I can't stand excessive use of quips and quirky humour. Is there a lot of that in these games?

There's a lot of that in Fallout 2, but 3 and NV are fine more or less. at least, there's no "hey, remember that Monty Python sketch??" shit.
Probably do 3 first because otherwise you'll never be able to enjoy it after NV.

3d fallouts would better if you removed iron sight aiming, and made hip fire spread noticeably worse, forcing player to use VATS for tactical like turn based hybrid combat.
