At very least we were supposed to play as Riku/Yozora and the dangling plot thread was about how WE find and save Sora. Re:mind showed us that he came to in deserted nighttime Quadratum after disappearing. MoM found this place to escape darkness. There was mystique and uncharted territory where the story could go but HACKmura fucked everything up.
Quadratum is just Tokyo full of NPCs living normal life and it's d*ytime. Darkside is appearing out of nowhere when HACKmura said in KHUX and MoM that there would be no darkness in the fictional reality, huh? Sora has already been found by Strelitzia (how did she end up here without PoW and keyblade master knowledge needed to cross into fictional worlds, nice shit writing), huh? Star Wars forest, HUH?
