Yes. It was years of blueballing and it wasn't worth it. It was nice to have everyone's little stories wrapped up but it was very blatantly fan service. Further everything, including the DLC, is packed into the last few hours. The rest of the game is alright, but nothing spectacular.
Lastly it started baiting new stories, so the conclusion didn't mean much.

Most of the fanbase is older and we don't have the energy to wait another 10 years and follow all the bullshit.

After almost 15 years of sequels, prequels and interquels, Kingdom Hearts 3 managed to have a less satisfying story, worse pacing, and a less conclusive ending than Kingdom Hearts 2. KH3 completely destroyed any remaining respect I had for Nomura as a game director/writer, and I have no hope that KH4 will do anything to change that.

the entire plot only happens in the last few hours and it feels rushed and like a slog at the same time

kh3 didn't capitalize on any of the set-up in the trailers, the disney worlds were entirely separated from the plot. the actual plot was 5 hours long entirely at the end of the game. no ff characters in the game on release, fewer worlds than any previous title. yes it sucked. I am not hype for 4 just because if strelitzia, I swear.
