As far as I remember they turned every enemy encounter into nu-Doom tier arena fights and the story is laughably bad

I hate the ending of the first with the super mythical power suit, completely ruined my immersion. The newer games just added onto the wacky retarded shit

I fucking loved New Order and Old Blood
Wolfenstein 2 lost all the magic and it's a game you slowly grow to hate more and more the more you think about it.

The story is fucking awful with just bad writing and cutscenes that never end and worst is you hate almost all the characters since a lot of them are either annoying as fuck or total dickheads like that black woman we are forced to hang out with.
Plus it feels like it's trying really hard to be this "Wow so edgy!" game with tons of really over the top gore and swearing and just horrible shit. all the humanity and grit of New Order is gone and it feels like a cheaply made B Movie that's trying too hard to shock you.

Gameplay ain't much better either. it feels like a run and gun but your health is so weak that you are basically forced to stealth and hide behind cover it never gets fun.

Not to mention series only got worse after 2 with Youngblood being fucking awful
If this series has any chance of being good again it needs to retcon both Wolfenstein 2 and YoungBlood.

it was too over-the-top wacky, and then it jumped the shark with B.J. having his head chopped off and re-attached.

Alt-Right was at its height and the nazi's are the bad guys and has a black woman in it.

The gameplay is about as good as The New Order, but the story is complete dogshit. There's way too many cinematics, way too in-you-face preaching about how whites were the real nazis all along, and a lot of the levels are just less remarkables than the first game. The first game also had comfy moments with your ragtag band of resistance fighters, in the sequel it's just more preachy-preachy.

Part of why people liked TNO is how it goes really deep into the uchronian setting, the game's art direction is just amazing with colossal nazi architecture and mechas. By contrast in the sequel we don't get to see things as interesting, and a lot of what we see feels like needless sequel escalation (in the first game we had a moon level, in the sequel we go to Venus, but it's more barebone than the first moon level that also could've used some improvement)

The game also ends in a wet fart, I didn't realize I beat the final boss until I reached the very last room.

Never touched the sequel/spin-off, I'm still hoping that they correct their course for an eventual third game with Hitler cloning himself into an Ubermensch body to throw down with BJ one last time.

>Gameplay felt neutered due to the fact that the character goes through half the game with 50% health and it makes you rely too much on cover and stealth instead of being able to let loose like in the previous games
>Way too many cutscenes
>Writing of said cutscenes not anywhere near good enough to keep you entertained
>Extremely unlikeable side-characters, with some exceptions
>That final "boss"
>That retarded fucking sequence with your preggo wife saving your ass and being showered with blood"
>shitty side-missions
It was basically a step down in every sinmgle regard compared to the previous two. Solid 6/10, maybe 6.5/10.
