Kos is fair, Malenia is not
No, Elden Ring is the easiest game on the serires, it was designed around casuals, women and children.
just jump attacked her to death with my colossal weapon
No she’s has harder mechanics but depending on how much you invested into your character. Elden ring is the first souls game where your character can be totally broken and trivialize the bosses
Yes of course.
Yes.
She's pretty brutal. I just got to her and spent an hour only to find out she has two forms. Actually does remind me of fighting Orphan. Most of her attacks are fine to dodge but the hurricane slash in both forms is a killer
it's strange how orphan of kos is much harder than almost any other boss in this series
he doesn't do anything special, he just flails around like a retard and that's somehow enough to be harder than almost everything else
how did this happen
Malenia is not hard if you did not handicap yourself with
>No spitits ash
>No good ash of war
>No good shield
Elden Ring is already easier than Bloodborne with tons mechanic to help you.
The only way I manage to somehow survive it, is by getting a lot of vigor and hope for the best.
The window to avoid all his attacks is odd, especially to parry him. His attacks also have crazy synergy that makes avoiding them even harder.
I can dodge it, if I'm at a distance I run away to lead in the first two swings than roll into her for the third but the problem is when she starts it from up close.
Lmao no, I was not able to simply poisebreak and rape Orphan with jump r2. Orphan is more fun though
Unfortunately I have a Frost build so half the fight she's already frosty and can't use the stun reliably
the orphan is way more kino too
You can break frost with fire
Agreed but Malenis is pretty kino too shooting butterflies everywher
Yes but she's also way less fun.
True if big
Most fun boss in the Souls series
I loved learning all her moves
>This.
All of Bloodborne started with Kos.
If she starts it at close range, just dodge the first two flurries as best you can and then stand still so the third one flies off away from you
Only takes 1 or 2 heals, really no different than NIHIL
Yes but Orphan is much more fun to fight.
imagine fighting orphan of kos but with dark souls 1 moves and mechanics, thats elden ring
No. Malenia is only hard if you deliberately hobble yourself.
>but with dark souls 1 moves
hahahaha
>l-le BB movement is faster so you can respond better!
DS3 has always been faster than BB and ER is the same way. You just think BB is faster because of the framerate
The living failures are harder than maria and orphan
>erm first off, well freaking done
You can tell that a significant amount of people started this series with BB, AND failed to master gun-parrying, one of the core gameplay mechanics.
The latter is even more obvious when you consider how many people considered Maria on tier with the series other most challenging fights.
Because gun-parrying is inherently safer than shields and deflects in Souls and Sekiro, fights like Maria and Gehrman, i.e NPC-hunter style fights, should be boiled down to accurately assessing parry opportunities.
Orphan of Kos's first phase is much the same, and after even five or so attempts, there's really no excuse for not having worked out his moveset in the first phase. Getting caught out by the placenta-grenades is really the biggest issue.
The second phase is undoubtedly more challenging but of his frantic behaviour, but it also rewards the player with plenty of opportunities to charged-attack visceral his back.
In any case, I think his difficulty is grossly exaggerated, and Malenia, Isshin, Owl Father, and maybe Friede and Midir are harder bosses.
Without waterfowl she's not even gascoigne tier. With waterfowl she still isn't harder than orphan because virtually everything that isn't vanilla as fuck ooga booga melee completely breaks her, and even ooga booga trivialises her if you have bleed.
>parrying
You didn't beat the game
BBfags trying to make out the game is like Sekiro when it's pretty much almost entirely based around the Dark Souls DNA always confuses me.
Strafing is marginally faster than default DS3 rolling, and ER affords the players multiple tiers of dodging options with ashes of war.
BB has the health recovery on retaliation mechanic, so trading hits is part of the gameplay loop.
neither elden ring or dark souls has that so trading hits isnt as viable.
it stops being a matter of how fast the game runs and more a matter of how the player can respond to the frequency of attacks, to attack or defend (dodge away)
Yeah. I always thought Orphan was overrated though. Ludwig was always harder for me.
>neither elden ring or dark souls has that
kek thanks for confirming you didn't play ER
go on then, elaborate if im so wrong
Nigger that doesn't even make sense. If I get hit by Malenia, I'm still attacking her during the next opening. Trading hits is shitter cope, just evade and keep using any opening
You are seriously the stinkiest, blackest retard gorilla nigger if you're about to bring up Malenia's rune, an item you get in the endgame that can't even be taken to NG+, as totally being the same thing as rally, a mechanic with you from the very start of Bloodborne to the end.
She is. I enjoyed the Malenia fight a lot more though.
friede and midir are complete jokes compared to orphan
maybe isshin is on par but he still feels easier to me
eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com
the absolute irony of you trying to appear authoritative about Malenia's fight while admitting that you have never beat it
I love it
you will now move your goalposts from "ER doesn't have rally" to "I just meant you don't have it while fighting Malenia"
>If I get hit by Malenia, I'm still attacking her during the next opening.
>mitigating the health she stole
i bet you also like getting kicked in the balls repeatedly
>so trading hits is part of the gameplay loop
This was always hit or miss for me because by the later areas, enemies would rush you for huge damage that the rallying system had no way to compensate for
gascoigne is easier than literally every single boss in elden ring, nevermind malenia
>you need an endgame rune
yea thanks, you're retarded
>admits he wants rally so he doesn't have to face consequences for getting hit
Like I said, shitter cope
I beat malenia first try without ever watching a video of her fight and I beat orphan on my third or fifth try years after Bloodborne released when I finally got around to playing it after having seen clips of his fight.
OoK does not have infinite hyper armer during certain attacks and dodges. OoK does not have a free kill button.
>moves the goalpost
Many such cases. Sad!
My screenshot is spreading :) just like malenias giant rotasscheeks on my mouth in my dreams :)
Malenia's Great Rune gives a Bloodborne hit/heal mechanic and you get weapon arts that gives you Bloodborne quicksteps.
Both suck and do nothing at all to make the game play like Bloodborne but Elden Ring fags claim it does.
You know there’s a safe spot for their meteors right? If you play online it’ll be marked out by a message. It’s close to Maria’s door but not quite pushed up against it.
The ER default roll is already faster than BB sidesteps. Cope, DS3 and ER will always be faster than BB and there's nothing you can do about it
It's better to just get behind one and do a R2/Visceral. The iframes on the visceral attack will keep you safe for the whole attack.
yea i know about the melania rune, but heres the thing, melania is at the end of the game meaning you need to play through the entire game, playing against enemies attacking frequently without any health on retaliation until you beat the game.
see how that goes? its not a main mechanic
Retard strength is real in the soulsverse. See the revenants.
fpbp
Without the shitty healing gimmick, it's just another generic post-DS3 Fromsoft template boss that has obnoxiously long combos and delayed attacks.
>if you play the game on easy braindead journalist mode she is not hard
No shit, clown.
>its not a main mechanic
>neither elden ring or dark souls has that
