It's 1 console less funny to play as a handheld when in handheld mode honestly and I'm a portable console person, the psp, vita, 3ds new or XLs were more maniable and more natural to handle than It ever was with or without joycons on the sides, same goes to the switch light, I also don't like how the switch came out in general, (online should be free on portable consoles at least especially nintendo's online services which are often of poor quality even if they got better) but It clearly had It's public, It can't top the feel and gameplay style of either the vita and 3ds and is in my eyes but an upgraded concept of the wii U with a different appeal, It's not bad but It isn't my thing

Consider that the 3DS had its lifetime sales cut in half compared to its predecessor, and didn’t have the excuse of Sony providing significant competition this time around. The iPhone 5 sold all of 3DS’s lifetime sales in the year it came out alone. Nintendo realized this and intentionally made the Switch larger than (most) pockets as to not directly compete. It’s over for pocket gaming unless you either 1) hold on to your 3DS or Vita, or 2) get some chinkshit handheld that may or may not have reach past PS1 emulation. It bites.

Mine's on my switch lite. Still fine after 2 years. The only occasion I got slight drift was when I played botw, took a toothbrush, scrub the sticks a little, and no issues to this day. I feel sorry for anyone throwing out their joycons when all it need was little scrub

I only played it in portable mode a few times. Then Mario wouldn't stop walking left. I didn't say it was a hybrid console, I said it was a home console. The screen looks worse than the Vita and that came out ages ago. If the Wii U is a home console (an underpowered Nintendo exclusive machine with a tablet gimmick) then the Switch certainly is. Except the Wii U analogs still haven't broken on me.
