RS3 is still a enjoyable game to start anew, OSRS is utterly shit.
the relentless passage of time
But they dont and op os a fag as usual
You’re too cowardly for the trimmed completionist cape
Sad but true
What did they do to osrs to make it shit? GE?
>"Hey we're on the same quest right? where do you find that item? is it around here?"
either
>"Fuck off"
>"why tf are you asking me just look at a wiki"
>"youtu.be:blahblahblah"
We're never getting a fully complete overworld for either game
I'm sick and tired of fagex, any alternatives for the same feel? Albion need not apply.
Discord and autism will kill every mmo
>not knowing about quest helper
LOL THE FUTURE IS NOW OLD MAN
Greedy shareholders, no money is going back into the company for development.
Osrs was a good gimmick but got boring
Leagues 3 was a disappointment after the points rebate
runescape 3 ironman is unironically the best way to play rs
a lot of what they've done with the world itself looks nice but the characters and weapon/armour aesthetics are awful
RS3 enjoyers are utterly chads.
RS3 is good and arguably the best MMO out there right now. The player base is pretty friendly and the grind isn't terrible. It offers a nice variety of stuff to do for all types of players like questing, skilling, and PvE. The only thing is that PvP is pretty much dead in RS3 so if you like PvP then you're shit out of luck.
OSRS is a nostalgia bait cash grab. Game is super outdated and a grindy hell hole. Their player base is extremely elitist as well and only care about PvP. It's not even good at being nostalgic as they're updating it with new stuff and it doesn't capture the same feeling as playing in the late 2000s.
>RS3
Microtransaction fuckfest with outsourced art and no updates ever
>OSRS
Efficiencyfaggotry playerbase combined with a company that refuses to add anything that might even slightly change the meta. Also a whole lot of sunk cost in regards to badly designed skills like Runecrafting that they prefer to bandaid instead of fixing at its core. They also hardly update at all, and when they do it's typo fixes, changing a drop rate from 1/60 to 1/58 which got polled 4 months ago, and if you're lucky they might add a new shortcut that requires 93 agility + elite diary completed to use, and doesn't actually make the trip longer because that would devalue everyone who had to run the long way in the past.
>What the fuck happened?
the GE
>inb4 the game was dying without it
it's dying because of it now
>the trip longer
The trip shorter*
too much spearheading by reddit
Jagex reinvests almost none of its profits into development. OSRS made record breaking profit last quarter and financial reinvestment runs aroun 11%. Compare this with other MMO's like WoW or Eve where it's in the region of 35%.
Jagex devs get paid fuck all, the lawsuit from Mod Jed revealed that their developers are getting between 26k and 33k GBP per year, substantially below industry average (average rent in the area Jagex operates is about 40% of those per year).
Jagex is a shit company that is carried purely by a single hit game that happened decades ago under different management, and a few developers that sacrifice their own personal gain because they love the game.
When I think about it...Why is RS3 consider bad? The only thing I have heard that is bad about rs3 is the MTX, but like 90% of mmos got it these days.
So is there anything else aside from the MTX that makes RuneScape 3 a bad game? I checked a few reviews video and nobody is giving me the "holy shit this game is utterly bad" vibe.
So give it to me straight, is rs3 bad just a meme or is it a decent game.
This. Been noticing the lack of updates. Just qol shit and 1-2 big updates once a year. Used to be every couple months for new content.
GE was brought back despite having the trade posts to provide a decent middle ground. They started rejiggering the game and adding new content, but everything they do is limited in either pay-off or fun because they have to keep the most autistic of the playerbase happy. You can't make the new activity too rewarding, because the people who relied on tick manipulation autism for the best skilling methods (which were impossible/completely unknown 15 years ago) will get mad. You can't make it too complex or fun, because then the people who do meme limited accounts or only want to play one small fraction of the game will get mad that they have to divert away and play the rest of the game to get the best items. Some fun shit has trickled in despite this, but it's crippling slow
So you end up with a game filled with half-baked and abandoned ideas that they never fix or make worthwhile, because the majority of the playerbase is either super autistic and find "fixing it" to be encroaching on their accomplishments or way or life, or they're bots that don't care either way and just game the system so they don't personally have to suffer
The combat is shithouse. Everything else is alright.
osrs is stuck in the least fun stage of rs2 by people who never played rs2 and all the new content is rs3 garbage and streamer bait
dont listen to this retard, combat is utterly fine. it was utterly shit in 2013 when it came out, but now is good.
its just a meme and cope from the osrs community.
such a comfy map and so many places i think i never got to
>You’re too cowardly for the trimmed completionist cape
thats what is shit about this game
There is nothing "cowardly" about that.
Its just an unpleasant chore that nobody wants to do
The whole game is an unpleasant chore
>Bruh you fuckin coward why don't you click 100,000 iron rocks, and drop them all from your inventory?
>bruh why don't you chop 100,000 logs
>You gotta fish like this if you don't want it to take even longer, mang
>bruh just memorize all the bosses attack patterns and swap between multiple sets of gear in this clunky ass UI
This game still exists because its currency was used as a crypto
That's why I played it, that's why there are so many bots, and thats why nobody including the maker gives a fuck about the gameplay, but securing a stable value of items.
The writing SUCKS
The combat is obtuse and filled with so many permanent unlocks theres an entire discord dedicated to tracking them all. I would still be playing RS3 if I didn't need 30 keybinds to do endgame PVM. Outside of that the game is really good, healthy in-game economy, rich skills and quests to level and do. My only other complaint is the old content doesn't mesh well with all the new stuff but the game is 20 years old, so this is a nitpick at most.
The MTX isn't even bad. A Friend proved years ago that it takes tens of thousands of dollars to gain any meaningful amount of XP or GP. Its much less intrusive than it was when it started.
another ANTI-RS3 is bad comment, without explaining why. compared to any OSRS quest, RS3 is waaaaay better then osrs.
Nostaligia glasses and tribalism. Coming from a former prejudiced osrs player, I hated rs3 because they strayed from rs's iconic aspects and uniqueness. Now osrs been doing the same. Fucking up pvp, no quests, more raids (that only 5% has level/gear for), combat is janky too. If I want raids, I'd fucking play wow. Hell rs3 pve is so much better. Love the quests too, interactive original stories.
Is rs3 still broken because of the item flood of whatever the fuck year
What?
They're about on par with each other, you either get autistic God drama or really ham-fisted attempts at being edgy to appeal to the "older" audience
you grew up and ran out of autism for these games
congrats
the only thing you need to know is that the best skill release ever happened in RS3 and its name was Archaeology. runescape.wiki
By this mere skill proves that RS3 is better then OSRS. Compare to any osrs skill suggestion and see how utterly shit and soulless the jmod of OSRS are.
The party hats breaking the game or something idk I was told not to play the game years ago because inflation ruined the game
>it was utterly shit in 2013 when it came out, but now is good.
>"It's good because you can automate it!"
No, it's still shit. Fundamentally it's the same buggy system with shit tier balance, monsters that weren't properly adjusted to the system and an emphasis on tiers above everything else. Weapons of the same tier are still exactly the same except for a couple of them like glaives where Jagex said "See! We can do different stats now!" as a marketing point, monster "weaknesses" are still mandatory unless you massively outgear the monster, adrenaline still goes away for no reason at the end of combat unless you fuck around with surge/escape/anticipation to stall it, boss design is still "don't stand in the shit, use Resonance/Barricade to survive the instagib so players can't use Legacy for this boss" and Strength is still pointless.
wikis and discord completely killed any possibility of classic social MMOs ever making a comeback
The ore boxes and metal banks and other such QoL updates alone make RS3 way better than OSRS.
chinese overlords that reign over Jagex.
retard
>the logo for RS3 is some gay ass boss they came up with 13 years ago
God damn I'm so glad I quit this game when dungeoneering came out
I got my cooking cape. Give me a 99 to do.
Quests are fucking autistic come on, they're basically unsolvable no one wants to go through hours and hours of gathering and hunting for items just to test them out, not knowing if it'll work.
agility
Fishing
At this point, they should just add the tool belt to osrs. If it’s going to be Reddit scape, at least add the good shit in
Still not playing your skinner box fag. Kill yourself tonight
>it's dying because of it now
>It's been dying for 15 years
OSRS problem stems from the massive faggot neckbeards that gatekeep any content in polls that might have a marginally better increase in exp than the extremely grindy way of doing it.
RS3s problem stems from Jagex and their focus on MTX rather than updating the outdated character models, or lack of polish on most updates.
Nomad is older than Dungeoneering you ultranigger.
I'm tempted to just make my own private server and spawn everything for myself because of how far the game has fallen.
I just dunno how to even start it, but I'd be happy to sink in hours again.
This. It took me less than two years to max in osrs and in that time the only major content release that wasn't a port was Nightmare. Toombs should have been out before GIM/Leagues 3 were even polled.
The heads of jagex clearly don't give a fuck about the glacial rate of content coming out, feels bad for the few jmods sticking around that are still passionate for the game but lack the support/funds needed to actually do anything.
FUCK JAGEX
If you didn't start runescape when it strictly looked like this then you missed out
I know he is, but Dungeoneering was the final straw for me. I just can't believe that they're still using Nomad as a mascot. Just goes to show how creatively bankrupt jagex has been the entire time I've been gone. My only regret is not quitting sooner.
The best OSRS skill suggestion didn't even come from the mods
imgur.com
They always sucked.
As far as I know they're actually better now in terms of gameplay, but back in the day there was basically one gameplay mechanic and that was clicking. The only thing kinda cool about it was totally unintentional, and that was the fact that your displayed level only went up according to combat stats, so you could just put all your energy in strength and be a level 20 taking on level 60s.
>get MQC and plan to quit the game soon
>finish my last clues because I enjoy doing them
>3rd age dye
What a great way to end it all
What class did you pick? Warrior here.
Adventurer was my first class, I then started a new character a few days later and picked Miner.
