Why not
Does journey # matter when doing summons
fpbp
>first play through
>wow it’s so big and full of content and the gameplay is great
>second play through
>skip more than half the content because it’s not actually good, engaging, rewarding content
Zanzibart...
goat
>first playthrough
>immediately notice all the content is skyrim tier
>just google every item so i dont have to do any of it except the ones with shit i want
>will never replay the game cause its boring
yep
It's fun by virtue of the souls formula being impossible to fuck up but I haven't a single legacy dungeon that reaches the highs of the previous games. Just arrived in Leyndell Capital so I hope it picks up from here.
what are the best ashes of war? I like spinning weapon but it doesn't seem very effective
i see this meme posted a lot but i don't see how that is an indictment against the game
the vast majority of single player games are only worthwhile for the first playthrough, the fact that you can skip the parts of the game you don't feel like replaying seems like a point in the game's favor if anything
You mean topical. It's only going to get more popular.
Stormveil Castle is literally the best area ever made in any soulsborne game.
>Melina burns herself if I do the usual path
>Go all the way to find the 3 fingers and pick frenzy flames
>Get a new maiden
>She's instantly burned
WHAT THE FUCK?
Shit bosses and tedious enemies endgame
The whole gimmick of the three fingers is that everything burns, including themselves. The three fingers literally die/disappear after they successfully give the frenzied flame to you.
Sadly Stormveil and Raya Lucaria peaked as best palaces here
I see... oops!
>Demon’s Souls
>Dark Souls
>Bloodborne
>Sekiro
All of these games don’t have skippable content
Subterranean shunning ground is the only good place left.
Farum Azula is ok-ish but it's unpolished.
>See lobster at the edge of the frozen lake at the mountaintops
>Dodge pissbeam
>Wind up to throw a beastlure pot so I can wail on it without surprise instant death
>Instead drink the cerulean flask
>Can't dodge the next pissbeam in time
>Dead
I finished the game today, RL 177... I spammed Pest Threads at that piece of shit Elden Beast, I'm glad it's over
I remember playing Stormveil and thinking "hey this is almost as good as Dark Souls" and then I got further in the game and literally nothing else is like that
DLC will add Millicent marriage, right bros?
I liked Haligtree despite overtuned enemies
no, shes dead
I can fix her
Finally
Late game enemies do so much damage and have so much hp that it becomes a slog.
>that part of the sewers with miranda and a bunch of basilisks in a very small room immediately after descending a ladder
>cleanrot knights who have enough hp to tank, can block despite dual wielding polearms, and have a bullshit 1000+ damage grab in addition to instantly proccing scarlet rot on you
>banished kniggas who beyblade combo you to death
Fuck them
The Chad Goldmask/Corhyn quest
>Corhyn straight up tells you he’s going to leave soon
>Goldmask has a distinctive silhouette so you can spot him from far away and he’ll probably catch your eye if you’re just wandering around
>you can make educated guesses as to where they’ll be in a given area; naturally the most religious characters are going to want to be in places where they can get a good view of the Erdtree
>they progress simply to each area in the order the player is most likely to go
>the statue puzzle is hinted at in advance by turtle pope and is basically spelled out by Corhyn himself if you’re really stuck
The virgin every other quest in the game
>characters come and go without telling you or giving any hint as to where they’ll be next
>sometimes hidden behind rocks or walls or are in out-of-the-way areas they have no reason to go to
>no rhyme nor reason to their travel patterns, often jump between late game areas and early game areas the player will have no reason to return to
It's unanimous. Everybody hates him and he is a let down of a final boss.
these pieces of shit won't drop their armor no matter what the fuck I do
Bye bye, don't forget to close the door on your way out sweetie
>>banished kniggas who beyblade combo you to death
Speak for yourself. Cosmic imagery is kino of the highest order, and the music for a "god" finally feels proper.
>Fighting Vyke
>My PS4 controller decides to drop the bluetooth connection
>Die to Vyke
>Isn't wanting to reconnect to my PC
>Uninstall and reconnect the device
>Now I have analog control again, but no buttons are working
I fucking hate this piece of shit controller, Sony
>dark souls
blight town is entirely skippable
>bloodborne
half of the game is optional, you can beeline mensis and ignore a good chunk of the content
Ranni sex
the fact that you have to fight radagon everytime is the real problem. he wouldn't be that much worse than moon presence otherwise. the real final boss should have been radagon
Fuck the Gelmir Hero's Grave
I've gotten almost to the end 4 times before getting raped by the chariot that follows you through the lava (and there are 0 shortcuts or anything along the way)
I think they meant as in all of the content is engaging and worth playing
Oh yeah by this I mean I'm not going to try it again myself but I am going to invade the fuck out of it
>Failed Rya's questline because I was supposed to go on this little adventure around under neath the manor and get some item to give her before killing Rykard
This quest design is fucking stupid.
The thing's never followed me through the lava ever
>that follows you through the lava
heh
>cast four spells
>drink mana cumjuice
>cast four spells
>drink mana cumjuice
>cast four spells
>drink mana cumjuice
>cast four spells
>drink mana cumjuice
>cast four spells
>out of cum
Just run through the rest of the dudes and die on the ring
Why do people give this game such praise
I want to use a Grave Scythe for my next playthrough. Should I go STR/INT and put cold infusion on it, with a few spells as backup, or go ARC for extra raw damage and bleed, and put a few points into faith so I can use bloodflame blade for even more bleed?
The fight itself may have issues but personally I'm glad Radagon wasn't the actual final boss. Gwyn, Gehrman and Gael just felt like a sort of cynical repeat of the same concept over and over that people eat up. At least Radagon looks younger.
This. Literally makes upgrading VIT pointless. Even at 99 VIT, they can still kill you in 1 or 2 hits. I swear enemy and boss damage scales with your VIT where more max HP you have, more damage enemies and bosses do to you even early game ones.
faggot ass game has 10 min to drop me a Magma Blade or I'm taking all of your tendies and beating up you're waifus. Figure it the fuck out, I'm sick of this shit and I'm not playing around anymore
The only one who has the armor in his loot table is the teleporting beyblade knigga here
>ruins the game for xirself
I looked it up and apparently it's not meant to follow you or something? I 100% died to it chasing me in an area that looked like this though so I don't know
that's completely subjective so there is no point in having this discussion
even if you agree that a good chunk of elden isn't worth replaying though, the fact that it's skippable is a good thing. if you ignore all the caves and catacombs, you still have a game that's roughly the size of a souls game, where you can do the dungeons in any order and grab any weapon/spell you want from the get go
>play the game with a 20 str 20 dex 20 fth 80 vigor man
>ridiculously fun bruiser, can use the majority of weapons with decent enough damage
>don't give a shit about AR because I'm not a PvPtard, PvE is my city
>beat the game
>make a new goon
>decide to switch up, make an int character
>explore around for five hours, eventually get around to beating Margit
>realize int is boring as shit
>delete character
>decide to make a second vitality gouge
80 hours into the game time to take a two month vacation.
What should I play next?
Has anyone been able to beat Godrick Soldier yet? Or is it just le epic unbeatable tutorial boss because we're so hardcore XD
There are two lava segments in the Gelmir Hero's Grave. One you're meant to ride the chariot down to reach the end, and the other has the Ringed Finger and the chariot doesn't follow you down there.
Alright guess I fucked up then
there was this 1 webm of an RL1 character surviving a hit that would 2-shot endgame builds, forgot what fight it was but i won't be surprised if enemies always doing % based damage is the case since they ran out of ideas on how to make endgame enemies stay difficult
imagine if you were working as a miner in soviet russia and you were told that every day you'd be paid some semeingly random amount. you can't get another job so you keep mining. sometimes you get a piece of crusty bread, other times you get a month of a normal job's salary. what you get paid is pre-determined, you just don't know the schedule.
your first playthrough in this game is exactly this, where you always want to explore more because you have to as it's the method of advancing, and sometimes it's tremendously rewarding, but mostly it's a disappointment. finding a great weapon or spell your build cannot use is the same as finding nothing.
so when you play the game again, you don't do the shit that gives you nothing which is about 70% of the content and you skip all the things that are just un-engaging shitty copy/paste dungeons/bosses which accounts for another 20% and you're left with bee-lining the main story encounters til the capital and calling it quits.
if you don't see that as detrimental i'm not sure what to tell you.
I'll ask again. Not sure what I'm doing and don't want my hand held too much but any suggestions on where I should be dumbing stats or what weapons I should be looking at? Doing a melee str build and I've been using a +4 Golden halberd. No big issues yet, in fact game seems rather "easy" so far considering all the complaints.
