It's time to discuss the best RPG ever made.
Project Crystal thread
Go away Andrew. Shilling your own game is against the rules.
Fuck, it's Crystal Project. I'm sorry, Andrewbros.
How good is Aegis? Just found the crystal, wondering if it's worthwhile to invest in.
Sell me on your game, Andrew. Why should I even bother playing it?
Dogshit game the skill tree is fucking hilarious
Tanking isn't that good on harder difficulties, but it has the useful Magic Break, but not the MP to use it a lot.
Also, you can build one to be virtually invincible, but it requires some prep and specific gear.
I don't know if I like it. I switched my monk to it and it's not jiving like I hoped so I switched back to cleric for now
Shilling seems to actually work. The game is gaining traction. Honestly if I finished making a game I would make threads here every day.
Probably the worst class in the game, generally speaking.
But it has some good passives. Equip Shield is great because Mirror Shield is the cheesiest item in the game.
it's fun
Where can I pirate this? Is it worth it?
Why is reaper the best class? Thing hits like a truck and has huge sustain
Not amazing, generally speaking. I've built mine as a counter statusbot which is doing okay at least though.
Because the Max HP gain ignores %based reductions which means you can use shit that lowers your Max HP without a care. I've been subbing mine with Warrior so far.
This game genuinely stands out from not only most games released today but most games in its genre. It's legit good.
Tanking is absolutely great on some fights. Specially since aegis automatically covers friendly allies in critical HP from single target attacks. It means you can just spam power/magic wall and never let anyone die
Don't care and I will never play it. Just said that I would shill this much as well.
What are the best classes to get?
I mastered my Warriors, switched one to Fencer and the other to Warlock. Just mastered my Cleric class and trying to level my Wizard.
do I eventually get the ability to teleport or something? only a few hours in but it feels like it's going to be a huge pain as the game progresses
I wonder if there are better lifeleech accessories
I'm using a 15% one right now but I can't afford to run 2. I'd like to so that he can just always stay at max HP with the hugely inflated values
Yes, and run faster
Dervish
I've honestly just ignored them at this point, 30% life leech isn't worth giving up shit like the Bone Trophy or Undead Ring when you have so many moves that give you sustain in your kit already.
Warlock is top tier and odds are you'll be running it until the very end of the game. Weaver is much later in the game but is absolutely fucking ridiculous. I've been using Shaman a lot as well as a sub class on my mage.
I guess I just have shit accessories still
When I use the reap skills that cost HP it leaves me too low and I end up dying right after if I don't have someone heal up. With the life leech I can survive one more round so I can use one of his other abilities to cap out
but I might be playing it wrong
Reaper is a class that really comes online later in the game, at the start you don't do enough damage to really justify the HP cost.
Why is everything outlined in black?
when is later?
I just got the goat and have like 8? crystals now 8 or 9
Probably before then.
You can get the lifeleech accessory from the optional boss in the sewers, and you probably should be able to beat it by now.
no I have it. I mean when does it come online?
I can hit for about 500-700 on my reaper depending on the attack
game?
I couldn't give you an exact time or place, but I would try giving it a shot again once you have 12-15 crystals I guess.
Crystal Project, user.
thanks
Reaper comes online the second you get it. Try starting with a lifesteal skill instead of a life spend skill. Give it counter. work on getting a real tank (valk/ninja or ninja/valk with some aegis skills)
Somewhere between the unlocking and endgame it becomes an unkillable monster but it comes out the gate extremely strong.
I'm still using it on my tank with warrior subclass
going berserker stance gives so much damage and I like having the debuff abilities in case I don't want to spend HP and the others are on CD
basically what I'm doing. I'm just trying to make him a lifesteal tank going balls to the walls DPS but I probably can't glass canon it without some better accessories or passives
He tried outlining everything in yellow, but that was eyebleeding beyond description.
Are there black people in this game?
Where the fuck is STEM? I've passed by it a few times when I didn't have a map, but now I can't fucking find it again.
You need to be cultivating a real tank also but yeah reaper/warrior made 90% of the game a cakewalk.
I had 2 for most of the game.
reaper/warrior
hunter/fencer (just learning hunter for now probably will change once it's mastered)
warlock/cleric (getting mana passive)
dervish/wizard
seems to be working well for me so far
yep. essentially my earlygame team. enough balance that you dont get fucked from anti melee or anti spell fights.
in my game that reaper/warrior turned into valk/ninja and that dervish turned into reaper/dervish (and then into a fresh reaper/warrior via stat regrowth).
if you're using it as your sole tank, youll only use the life steal skills & then use crush from the warrior sub for damage.
Just go into the depths bro, there's like two actual paths
Feels like half of the time I pick a spot to dive into I get blasted by one of the superbosses down there, and the other half I run into a bunch of fucking walls.
Well if you can't beat those superbosses you can't access it anyway.
The depths is actually really simple once you look at the map.
There's the niggerman pit with the suicidal salmon, then there's two trenches that connect underground with the STEM.
I already blasted the Conscript, I just haven't gone and prepared for the other fuckers, unless there's a boss that appears to cockblock me next to it all of a sudden.
For every game you see multiple threads of that benefited from shilling, theres a hundred others still eating dust.
>Calling the game you made the best RPG ever
Come on.
Even though there are 24 different jobs all battles feel the same. Rather I'm attacking with an axe, unarmed, a katana, or magic.
Magic by the way is boring as hell, gee do I want to use the fire attack or the lightning attack or maybe a summon. 8/12 of the summons by the way are just pick what element you want earth wind fire water etc but they all mean nothing because elemental damage is just damage.
Either the monster has a physical shield or a magic shield. Elements don't even matter.
Your game's combat andrew is as deep as one of those kagura rpgmaker games, except the kagura games have a little tiddy to keep things interesting.
Just got ninja, have no idea where to go now. Found a goat that I can't seem to do anything with, and I also remember people talking about the salmon race. Should I just ignore the race and see where I can get to with the rented salmon?
>pic
This looks mediocre as hell
I haven't actually started the demo yet, but I wanted to ask before threads disappear completely, how does the full game feel in comparison? Enough content?
There's a lot to do.
There is about a weekend of content to the game as a whole. Less if you know what to do and where to go, much of the game is about getting lost and wasting time trying to things out.
I'm at 90 hours and still haven't 100% it
What's up with Chloe? Weird girl.
There's a demo on steam
How do I beat that wack ass horror in the basement? Tried reverse polarity on him regenerating but he has too much hp.
in regards to looks it's almost at "tolerable." Definitely pretty bad. I'll expect more out of his next game if he doesn't retire after this one.
the gameplay though is phenominal.
>from single target attacks
Pity the only real problems are all huge fuck off magical AOEs
Come back for her later is the most likely answer. I killed it in two turns.
>Tried reverse polarity on him regenerating but he has too much hp.
That's pretty much it.
