I'm a toaster master, please explain

why would anyone specifically seek out ps3 in 20 years when ps3/ps4/ps5 generatiosn are all the exact same
they're even all getting the same fucking games

Probably but the console will either be emulated or ported

>pc player mentality where everyone is like me playing morrowind for the last 20 years on my newly upgraded pc

Hey, how about instead of hiding behind some twitter retard's opinion you just state your opinion and stop being such a little bitch.

Attached: OP's true love.jpg (470x647, 73.77K)

I really don't get Sony and Microsoft porting exclusives to PC. at least Microsoft sells an OS that most people use, but Sony has no reason to.

Consoles lost all character and individuality after the PS2/GCN generation thanks to the standardization of hardware and proliferation of cross-platform game engines. They're all just generic PCs now. Only Nintendo consoles have a bit of uniqueness left, but that's only because of hardware gimmicks of varying quality.

I mean Switch will always be collectible and anything Nintendo. Too many drooling nostalgic fanboys.

For everything else there will be a niche consumer base of collectors just like there is now.

Eventually all this stuff will stop working and there will be a greater barrier of entry unless clone consoles are made for Gen 5+. But yeah, we will see what happens in the future. I don't buy games as an investment, I buy them to play so if they are worth nothing I couldn't care less.

this is why I generally buy physical at least for console

He does know computers also go obsolete in 2-3 years if you don't update them, unless you like playing at the lowest settings.

Wait so the OP is about the fact that exclusives are all but gone? Why would that change anything?

Yeah, that's just not true

zoom zoom

Not sure. Seems like someone who can only afford a PC trying to cope

Yeah, consoles served a purpose when they actually could btfo of a pc for an affordable price tag, but those days are long gone. Anyone buying a console now is just buying a budget pc

>Implying hacking the shit out of consoles won't be the norm

>I buy them to play so if they are worth nothing I couldn't care less.
I fucking wish they were, I loved all the Saturn and Dreamcast games I was getting and playing in my youth into 2010 and then it took a massive shit bomb as the retro craze went out of control and things just spiked in price.

>twitter screenshot stating the obvious

Attached: 1649041801364.jpg (648x484, 53.28K)

No it's closer to 8-10 years, about the same as a console generation.

But you're admitting they have a purpose by basically just being highly accessible budget PCs ....

He says, as over half of Yea Forums is still on Windows 7.

>sh*t

>Sony has no reason to.
if they sell a game for 50bux on pc, they get 50bux
that's a reason right there
the people who were gonna buy a ps over an xbox for exclusives already bought, so it doesn't matter any more

another literally who twitter thread. great valuable discussion here

For sure, I have a really large collection and pretty much everything I want but I bought over 10 years ago when the prices were dirt cheap. Now I wish it would crash so that more people can get into the hobby and play these awesome games

It’s not an opinion if it is true.

build a fucking pc holy shit

Why not have a PC and consoles? Then I don't miss out on any games and can play with friends who are more casual and locked into one console.

I don’t get the moralfaggotry for multi million dollar companies, just hack the old consoles and pirate everything you fucking retarded zoomer

Idort life is the best, yeah.

>still using 1080ti 5 years later
>still playing games on at least high graphic settings

I've tried but it's too much. Even once you get the parts together having to navigate it all through different folders and drives to find anything is way too confusing.

Yep, all this talk is just noise when you're not a literal child, poorfag, or NEET and can afford your hobbies

ps3 actually had unique games
ps4 just had bloodborne
ps5 literally has nothing

Or just do what you want? None of us go home to each other so why even care?

Well yeah they do have that purpose for those people that just really don't like messing with computers for whatever reason. I'd rather have the budget pc though so I can actually adjust graphical settings, pirate, and mod the games

Attached: windohs.jpg (920x279, 35.6K)

Sure. I mean thats basically what I'm saying by having PC and consoles. Then you throw away any of this childish allegiance nonsense and can do what you want

But yeah, nothing wrong with only having one or the other but then don't bitch like a retarded faggot about it

>500 dollar console
>about 5 decent games per generation
>pc still raping your ass on performance
>pay full retail for physical, pay for online services
>your shit is censored to the maximum
>now that all that has sunk in and you're tired of it it's time to buy the next console

I agree with you, I'm the same. But let's not pretend that they don't serve a purpose to some becuse they clearly do and that's why they sell

Because exclusives don't exist anymore. You can emulate switch games day 1, so what's left? What? Are you going to buy a PS5 to play fucking DeS:R? lmao

*yawn*

Another cry baby shitter just farting and shitting up a thread poo poo pee pee

No, you're right. I was thinking too much with my own mindset and you reminded me there are people that genuinely don't want to ass with a pc

Based

>because exclusives don't exist anymore
>what is bloodborne
>what is spiderman ps4

Attached: 9782696.jpg (1252x1252, 146.32K)

>Because exclusives don't exist anymore
I mean that's just objectively false but alright

I have a PS5, Switch, and PC along with a shitload of retro consoles and handhelds. I can play anything I want so I don't have a dog in this fight

For sure, my brother was one of those people for years until I finally convinced him to get a gaming PC. Now he won't go back

The consoles are the DRM machines. Anyone objects to this is a massive cope.

>The consoles are the DRM machines.
The consoles are the DRM machines.
>The consoles are the DRM machines.
The consoles are the DRM machines.
>The consoles are the DRM machines.

Attached: Sony has declared that old ps3 games digital purchases have expired. Now you either have to repurchase those games or be screwed..jpg (719x1017, 310.71K)

You mean a console from a generation ago? How many years has it been? 7 years old? You haven't already bought a PS4 second hand for dirt cheap and resold it afterwards?

Okay. So what are you playing on modern consoles that you cannot play on PC?

wow another useless twitter screenshot thread

Is there going to be at least 5 games worth playing to save a PS4/XBONE in 20 years?

All i can think of is Bloodborne

Future PC titles

Attached: 1626382348049.gif (320x180, 517.55K)

.... yeah .... my PS2, Dreamcast, PC Engine, and Saturn sure are filled with that dang DRM ......

Just Google PS5 exclusives bro. Do i need to teach you how to open a search engine faggot? How bout i wipe your little baby ass too?

My $450 rig that has 4770K and 980 ti can run everything so well. 1080p at 60+fps easily.

>implying theyre not not lying to seem cool on an anonymous nerd forum
besides the true patrician OS system is 8

If you know how to swap the battery in those consoles you list, yeah. Otherwise, they would be bricked anytime.

gyro is actually good and makes shooters playable with a controller
still not better than a mouse though

Yeah not how it works dude, the batteries can die on Dreamcast and it literally doesn't matter unless you really want to play Seaman. Even then you can just change the in game clock. PC Engine and PS2 don't have an internal battery that has anything to do with the machine running or playing games. So....
