Just you wait for chapter 7

is this game worth starting? does it have good ost? i downloaded it but im too lazy to start it up god damn

>does it have good ost
so far it has some alright tracks
mostly those EPIC orchestral medieval songs, which can sound generic at times

youtube.com/watch?v=6aXa0xOD5ac
is nice tho

slow start but battle are kino as its main core gameplay and ai is enough to make chess like decision. But I agree i can be exhausting the lore sometimes until prologue is over.

I played on hard mode first time . yeah its hard as it should.

I'm on my third playthrough. Just got to the Golden Route split. Man, choosing where to send who was tough. I tried to do it thematically, all the Wolfort people in Wolfort, Roland's little gang with him, everyone related to Hyzante going to Hyzante.

>chapter 7
lmao just get a ladder dude

It's a pretty good game, surprisingly difficult on hard mode but probably not so bad on normal if you don't want a big challenge. Strategy gameplay is good, lots of dialogue but you can skip if you don't care about it, I have liked the story but I haven't done all paths yet. Music is pretty good, the number of songs might be kinda low but the tracks themselves are good.

The beginning is slow and overwhelms you with characters to keep up with, but it picks up, and I found myself getting invested before too long.
Thought it was fantastic overall and am currently doing NG+.

I'm on chapter 13 and still don't have the guy. Went liberty with a little utility

I had to turn down the difficulty to normal to beat chapter 2, there were just so many enemies and they did so much damage I couldn't see how it was possible.
The map is just an empty square too so you don't have any room to manuveur.

using jens or any unit that can jump on a roof is basically cheating on that map, like shooting fish in a barrel
works on hard too

quite literally better than any fire emblem game I've played, from gameplay and writing perspectives

fire emblem has better rpg elements

>Fling boss off the side of the bridge
>enemy healer runs down the ladder to heal him and the shield guy blocks the ladder
idk if that was intentionally programmed but pretty hilarious, god I love this game

some maps are pretty brutal on hard mode cause they're too wide open yeah, sometimes you just gotta brawl it out and let eveyone die. But I dont blame you for switching to normal

can your units die permanently?

The OST is great, the beginning is a little slow but it really picks up around chapter 3

no perma death at all, but theres an achievo for no deaths so up to you

no

They give you a pretty nice accessory if you pull it off.

>writing perspectives
I mean Triangle Strategy is honestly really good in terms of writing so I will not deny that, but Fire Emblem writing is at best average and at worst really awful.

Soon to be finishing NG+, gonna have to do 5 because i did golden on my first go.

I already decided i would go Roland cuck route and it's so hard. i literally took all the shitty choice, basically bellyflopping whenever someone wanted to fuck with me, and dit hurt me.

I would describe the pace of the opening few chapters as glacial.

>WORDS WORDS WORDS
Does the "game" get interesting after a while or will it be filled with this inane blabbering from start to finish? I've spent hours having to sit through shitty dialogue and I'm not even 5 hours in.

Didn't have much trouble with chapter 2 but I'm stuck at Rudolph's chapter.

Oh yeah. I need tips.
There are way too many soldiers and they do too much damage.

Fuck, really? Guess I'll try it in NG+ since I'm pretty far in already

Milo is such a slut

Consider grinding a bit, that was the first time for me I was below the recommended level

if you can get erador on a roof you can pretty much win by pushing people off that tower in the middle of the map
otherwise just regroup everyone and funnel the enemy through any street

>recommended lvl 4
disregard the erador part, ram is lvl 9

guys, I have done every route on hard except for Fredricka's. I finally decided to try her route, and half way into her freeing the Roselle plot, I feel like such a cuck. Even the Roland route didn't make me feel this shit.

What's a good way to do that?

Erador still doesn't have Ram Foe. In fact, most of my units are still lvl.3-4

Go into the encampment and talk to the bartender ladshe let's you fight in "mental mock battles" that give exp and loot. More battles that give more exp and better rewards unlock over time Its pretty necessary for progression unless you only use a handful of units

yep, it also includes mock battles so be careful cause the game wont tell you

what other people said but Ramming with Erador is so fucking satisfying later since theres so much elevation in the game. I dont even bother with Jens cause its funnier with Erador

>Fight
>"Whoa this is pretty fun."
>Cutscene
>Cutscene
>Go here
>Cutscene
>Cutscene explaining cutscene
>Cutscene exlaining cutscene explaining cutscene
>Now explore this setting for sparkles and bland NPC chatter

It's not a bad game but this is just too much. There's SO MUCH time between battles.

Also do you ever fight monsters or is it just same classes as you match-ups?

the game has a built in zoomer filter. Too much words for you zoom zoom?

Between actual gameplay? Yes because most o them are nonsensical reinforcements. Like, I get it, those two silver haired twins are dicks. I don't need 5 cutscenes of their mustache twiling behavior.

Would be fine if the story wasn't trite garbage.

where are my utility chads at?

cope more FE tranny, Triangle Strategy has better writing than any FE game.

how come babies always lash out at other games when flaws in theirs get pointed out?

u rite tho fire emblem is shit

huh? what about waifus though? does it have better waifus? yeah, thats what i thought.

trying ng+ hard, decided to do frederica's bridge this time and holy SHIT

every unit gets oneshot by the two spark mages, you're immediately pincered, thalas/erika go every other turn, and even when you try and cheese them both off the ledge with jensx2 you might lose anyway

christ almighty, the things i do for a little crown on the title screen

grab godcimal put him at the bottom of the bridge and spam his move that targets units above him.

Just use best girl Anna

What do lads

Attached: miloaccompany.jpg (1280x720, 327.09K)

Just add Milo to your harem, I am sure Fredricka won't mind.

Was it Autism?

but he can do that like once before needing to recharge, unless i have julio/medina babysitting his ass

god do i really have to do the medina/quahaug/decimal cheese

Beating avlora is dependant on using a three chokehold defence, a triangle strategy if you will. Throw two oil pots on the the two wide stair case with anna, then use ben to NOW freddy's turn. Freddy should set the oil pots on fire with scorch. The aesfrosti army will not willingly walk through fire thus causing them to all beeline towards the one wide stair case. Put erador and geela there to block it off and force every one into a corridor.

Reinforcements will arrive after your kill four aesfrosti soldiers. You will need to prioritise the wizards and the ice archers. Jens can knock them off their roofs but his TP should be reserved for avlora. Benny will need to bulwark erador to hold his line better.

The fire should last two rotation before you need to relight it on the third. Use freddy to set more oil pots down. Position anna to take down the archer on the futhermost house last. This is important. After killing three archers and one wizard reinforcements will arrive. You can block them out with annette before killing them with mages .

More importantly this is where queen bitch decides to stop fucking around. Unlike her army avlora will happily walk through fire. She finds it exfoliating. Jens will need to set up spring traps on either side of the two long staircase. Either julio, piccoletta or coretin will need to be used to distract avlora when jens runs out TP. Either moment of truth him or put a decoy/ice wall in front of avlora. Do not put the ice wall on your fires that will extinguish them an invite the rest of her army through. Eventually after failing to climb up the stair case enough times avlora will give up and join the queue for erador. After taking out the armours, continue maintaining the fire wall whilst killing key targets. After four or five more kills, i forget more reinforcements will arrive at the top.

he is loyal to his pink wife.

You know, Serenoa being an illegitimate child of Regna really explains a doubt I had at the beginning as to why they hadn't decided to have Roland or Frani marry Frederica and Serenoa marry Cordelia to make the relationship between Glenbrook, Aesfrost and Wolfortt stronger seeing that Wolfortt had only joined the kingdom 30 years ago and it would be a good idea to do something to make sure that relationship would continue for a long time.

Please don't pretend games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Let Us Cling Together had this much WORDSWORDSWORDS presence. In the 4 hours I've played, I completed 3 20 minute battles. That's horrid. Especially when the story isn't even good. Ye olde English dialogue spoken with a Chaos Wars tier dub isn't a zoomer filter--it's self-fellatio. The game could easily be a 8-9/10, but the lack of actual gameplay along with a very weak story knocks it down to a 6-7. That's not even considering the garbage lighting and off-putting edges. It's nowhere near as good as the SRPGs that it tries to emulate.

>Just you wait for chapter 7
Literally just flew the bird girl up to the roof. Took 20 minutes but I took all of them down. The AI just stands there while getting rained down upon.

the story is kino what are you talking about?

Attached: ChadRolandMeme.png (1080x1080, 1.53M)

Beat the smuggler chapter.
Serenoa died unfortunately tho.

Rudolph's va isn't bad at all. Wtf were you all talking about??

Make sure Freddy, serenoa, and anna are there to meet them immediately. Clear skies upgraded freddy can take them out in two scorches easily enough.

Eventually you'll run out of oil pots. It is at this comment you will move to the final portion of our triangle strategy. Begin to move all your remaining units to the two adjacent houses on the bottom row. Anna can stay behind under cover but otherwise you will want every on top of these two houses. If you've done this right there should be no more wizards or archers left to deal with. If there is a sneaky archer or wizard left over, use anna and an archer to sneakily off him. serenoa or erador are your best bets to hold the one part of the house enemies can now attack you from. bennedict will bulwark them and geela will heal.

Target avlora with your remaining mages/archers as much as possible. delay her with jens if he's still alive. Avlora cheats. She's fast enough that when the unit count starts going down she'll begin to act twice a rotation. She will break through your defender eventually.

you can strategically uncloak anna to distract avlora, the raging lesbian, but if worse comes to worse positioning an archer on the jump tile between the first and second house will make you untouchable after killing all the ranged enemy units. pick up the remaining spoils with anna as you while away avlora's health from the roof top vantage.

get ladder boy to posistion you up high, put some one on top of the ladder so they can't get up. Fight trish when she comes to ram up your back side and then just thunder the shit out of travis.

and thats how you beat avlora on hard without burning your people.

Like an user said earlier, there's a ton of redundancy in the writing--your wife's an outcast, the alliance is shaky, and no one can be trusted. The problem is that the game spends 3 hours telling you this...several times. A lot of the dialogue is the game stuffing your face with LOOK AT HOW UNTRUSTWORTHY THIS GUY IS, or LORD SERENOA HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE. It's insulting that the game doesn't trust itself enough to let the world and relationships around it build naturally. It's Golden Sun-tier and that's not a good thing. I've played 6 hours so far, and while the battle system is legit amazing and fun as fuck, everything around it takes up too much playtime and is lackluster.

they explain at the beginning that serenoa and freddy were "family" but family that could be thrown away at a moments notice if they ever needed to cut ties with glenbrook or aesfrost. Which they did.

it really stops being wordswordswords once the ball gets rolling on the plot. If you are 3 battles in, and it sounds like you went to aesfrost over hyzante which is where the redundancy might be coming from, then you really haven't gotten to the proper game part yet.

>thalas on bride
>with barricades
The absolute fuck is this?
I chose blew the bridge up and had no barricades.

Which is pretty stupid in Gleenbrook's case considering that their army is garbage and that of the three great houses the Wolfortts are the only ones who seem capable of accomplishing anything.

It’s the second mission after blowing up the dam. You don’t fight Avlora on that route
