Being dated shouldn't be an issue if done well, problem is that CS1 wasn't really done well. Hacker's memory was much better and used the setting pretty well.

Well the people working on the modern digimon games say they are making the franchise grow up with its audience so make of that what you will.

HM, redigitize(psp and 3ds got translated) , next order and world 1 are all pretty good. Yeah that's pretty much it.

There's Digimon World: Re Digitize (and decode, the 3ds port), as well as Digimon World: Next Order.

ReDigitize was never localized officially but has fan translations. Next Order is (annoyingly) Playstation exclusive.

Neither look as charming as Digimon World PS1 to me though.

Digimon World RE:digitized, Next Order, Championship on DS, Ver. S on the Dreamcast, and Wonderswan also are pet sims.

I bought Cyber Sleuth complete on the Switch back in early February and I've yet to even play the damn game aside from having launched it and choosing the character KEKW. Oh yeah I got it for $15 though.
