They're janky and lack a lot of 3-5's QoL but RF is RF, give'em a shot if you're interested. Only thing you'll waste is a bit of time.

Also I think this is the first game I've played where I've really preferred the English VA over the Japanese VA, I don't know why but the Japanese VA seems really bad to me.

You know, the day-to-day dialogue in 5 leaves a lot to desire, but I have to admit I enjoy that a lot of the events have the characters casually interacting with each other. A lot of the early "Love" events feel like they're not even specific to the character they're for.

North American VA studios have zero professionalism, they are a buddy club where weebs and failed cartoon VAs suck someone's dick or knows somebody to get in and it fucking shows. They are the most ear grating VAs on the planet.

I'm fucking tired of playing 4 and wanted a (good) new game to play. Being a fan of this franchise is worse than being an FZero fan. At least they know it's dead and there's no hope.

I'm just gonna end up buying the majority of lumber needed, on days where I don't feel like going to progress the dungeons (Trying not to beat the entire fucking game before Summer year 1 is over) I still gather plenty of lumber and stone, but honestly it feels like it's a bit of a waste of time at this point. I could go mine diamond and shit, do some cooking, sell everything and then buy plenty of lumber. Or if you're lucky, kill one boss make like 40k off of one drop.

The game would be just as bad (worse IMO) in 2.5D. The performance issues are purely due to extremely poor optimization.

So that you have time to do a large variety of things. Watering, harvesting, dropping at sale bin I usually finish around 8-8:30 and I'm only using house field, first dragon (largest field), and fire dragon. I'm not even using the other 4 fucking fields and I haven't increased the size of any fields. If you actually really wanted to maximize profits and farming you likely would finish harvest/water/replant at like noon each day.

Usually from 9-10 or 11ish I'm running around talking to every NPC.

Then the rest of the day is spent on whatever I feel like doing, gathering lumber or stone, farming all the bosses, progressing dungeon I'm on in the story, taming some monsters if I feel like it,maybe I farm a specific crafting item or boss taming item for the rest of the day.

If this was like Harvest Moon you'd have time to do your standard field chores, talk go the NPCs you want to talk to and MAYBE fish once or twice and then your day is up. Shit isn't the same, there's way more you have to do.

What is the friendship requirement for tandem cooking/smithing? Elsje is highest with 5 but I guess it's not enough

Because the world is fucking huge and empty so they had to compensate by making time move twice as slow

I never said the English VAs were good, I said they were better than the JP ones to me in this game which is a first for me as I almsot always prefer the Japanese over the English in games
