I'm so glad the game is a flop considering what it stands for. I'm not exaggerating when I say 95% of the characters on screen are either minorities or women. The only few white men in the game are emasculated pussies. Factually untrue since their cross-gen games sell best on PS5. The moment Horizon was announced as cross-gen, all hype instantly died. There was no longer any excitement of it "unlocking the power of PS5" but instead just became another PS4 game with some new bells and whistles. And it wasn't helped that said cross-gen game also cost $80 on PS5 despite there being very minimal differences between the two past some graphics improvements and frame rate.

The Horizon series' popularity is 100% astroturfed. You look at other Sony shit like Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank or Journey, and people genuinely love those. I don't think anyone genuinely loves the Horizon games.
The first game sold a ton because it's constantly bundled with PS4s. The sales of the game would probably look very different if those bundled editions aren't counted.
I wouldn't be surprised if eventually Forbidden West gets bundled with PS5s. Because someone in Sony's leadership really, REALLY wants her to be a gamic icon. She gets pushed in crossovers and shit far more than any other recent Sony character.
