I'm at 300 hours played and I only use the Claymore and Bastard Sword
One for bloodhound step and the other for wild strikes.
I also use a longbow I guess.

I use fextra regularly as an item checklist. I don't like fextra, but I use it a lot.

I loved the fuck out of the game while I was playing it, but now it's finished, I have absolutely no intention returning to it. Spent a lot of time exploring and collecting and now I'd have to follow a wiki to get every item/spell.. It seems like a drag.

First 2 weeks was pvp heaven. Good mix of shitters and experienced players, all of which had shit gear. One day, I noticed every time I invaded, either host or a phantom was running moonlight veil. This was invading in the floating fortress with tornados and shit I don't remember the name. Due to the sudden change in meta, I rerolled from a STR/FTH build to a STR/INT build with just enough points on dex to use moonlight veil. Haven't gone back since. At least 70% success rate with invasions since. They need to nerf that fucking weapon art. If they just halved the range of the vertical slash it would be next to useless, but it's so fucking fast and travels so far you can almost always catch someone when they backpedal. Which in 3v1, someone's gonna backpedal at some point and feed me free heals or just get host killed. I also later added a STR scaled Roger's Rapier with bloodhound step to catch runners. It's fucking dirty but it works too often not to use.

I was going to try to this time since I'm starting my second and new play through.

The issue my first time was I was a dumb ass that blindly tried doing a strength build. But to be fair none of us knew any better when the game just came out, and while I hit her super hard the attack wind ups just did me in too much.

when i beat the game i was lvl 170

I rolled STR but always used the big morning star(bleed)+freezing grease for everything even remotely challenging

I genuinely had to uninstall because Elden Ring was ruining my life by taking away all my productivity

As soon as you inflict the killing blow on the dragon hop on Torrent and sprint over to the grace to respawn her for free runes and kill her as many times as you like. Break level 50 in less than 10 mins lol

I would've but on my first try I got such perfect rng that I beat the first gargoyle before the second one even reached me. I spammed charged r2s, broke stance and on the crit, I procced Frost and the first gargoyle was left with a few hits worth of health.

A died more to Renalla than Malenia. Why? I was a mage. I had to read online about the gravity spells which allow me to do physical damage. It was a nightmare because the phase 1 is just a mess of shit being thrown around.

If you get unlucky or arent being agressive enough, he can kill you in a blink chaining some bullshit spell combo spam, so not that strange. I switched from an UGS to a partly upgraded straight sword so i could just stunlock him after he killed me 2 times.

Was the 2x Gargoyle fight suppose to be hard. I did someone and is also a sorcerer. I don't put points in Vigor as a handicap.

I enjoy the game but I find almost every enemy, encounter, or boss, to just be an eye rolling annoyance. They're all either stupid fast, never stop attacking, infinite stamina, can attack from literally any distance and hit you, track everything, bash your HP down in 2-3 hits no matter your armor/talismans/vig level, etc. And more. It's all entirely beatable but it's just like.. idk there's just this feeling that you don't really get to play the game. You just wait for your one slight opening[s] to get hits in and that's it. Maybe you cheese them with an op build or use lots of summons or magic or whatever. It's boring in a way. You get knocked down or see them about to do their mega-anime wombo combo or your in a fight with multiple enemies all attacking/advancing/etc at the same time. Sometimes they literally even teleport behind you to hit you. I basically put the controller down and just wait for it to be over or dodge over and over until you get your hit in.

Maybe I'm not describing it well but I think the player character is too hampered and slow or restricted in what you can do beside what the enemies can do.

I'm doing a RoB samurai fun for 2nd playthrough and its as busted as I've heard holy shit. I feel as strong at lvl 70 as I did at lvl 150 with my old faith guy.

Fuck that. As long as she has a near instakill attack that she can boot up from any distance, it's not worth my time. I did great so many times, only for a point blank WF Dance to end everything instantly. Having an archer spirit there to stagger her every minute or so, give me breathing room and occasionally take aggro, made it bearable.
