I'm not a lore scholar or anything, so I'm just gonna randomly guess. I feel like radagon couldn't have ever been a separate being from marika at any point. They must be two aspects of the same being. This concept of a deity having multiple aspects is present in multiple mythologies: the idea of being simultaneously two things that ought to be exclusive, fully one and yet also fully the other, instead of half-and-half. Or simultaneously being one person and also two people. Marika may have even somehow "created" Radagon, who may or may not have even known, at first. Or not, I don't know. I can imagine that a being of two bodies, two minds, but one soul, could have inner conflict manifest outwardly to the point where one aspect performs the exact opposite action of the other

Nothing says that Radagon and Marika were always the same person. Personally, I think the Greater Will caught wind of Marika wanting to ditch it and ended up fusing her and Radagon together. Radagon is a stout loyalist of the Order so he essentially kept Marika in check.

The game itself unambiguously tells you radagon/marika is confusing, doesn't make sense and no one really know what the real nature of that is. Except maybe goldmask at the end which is why he could create the Mending Rune I guess?

Anyways, a few things ruined the ER story for me:

Sol has no connection to sunlight except to humans on earth though. Miquella's plan being related to the sun comes primarily from the name of castle sol but it shouldn't be named that in their setting.
