Where is the incentive to replay this game?
Where is the incentive to replay this game?
Making a different character to invade people at lower levels and have no fun whatsoever.
There is no incentive to replay any game honestly. Never have. Never will.
what incentive was there to re-play ds3 or bloodborne?
(hint, it's the same one for elden ring)
Now you can play the REAL game by beating self imposed challenges and bragging about it on reddit!
Elden Ring but without rolling! Elden Ring but without equiping pants! Elden Ring but you do a squat every time you heal! Limitless replayability!
>incentive
what a weird mentality. I like playing games so I play games. I don't need to be incentivized or reimbursed for my time.
PvP
I'm already 60 plus hours into this game.
I'm not going to immediately replay it. Maybe in a few years
Replayability is 10x higher than Dark Shits 2 and 3, find better bait.
There isn't much of one really.
There's a ton of different things and builds you may want to play, but actually building them and playing through the game a second time feels like a chore right now rather than being something fun, then when you get to actually invading people with them that's kind of a mess too, it can be complete shit but it can also be really fun at times.
Replaying the game itself though isn't much fun at all, sadly.
Is anyone enjoying it past the capitol? I'm at the halig tree or what ever its name is and it is even worse than the snowy area. The game turned into literal aids, and I'm thinking about giving it a thumbs down review. Holy shit.
Yeah it got great after Leyndell. All the areas north of the capital really feel obliterated by the Golden Order.
I rather liked haligtree and Mohg's area, but I could understand feeling fatigued with the game by the time you get to that point.
Being autistic and wanting to use a variety of builds, but feel like you didn't really get to experience the full extent of the build via respeccing and not committing to it from the start.
Fuck, I didn't even just respec to STR/INT from pure INT, I started yet another playthrough.
>yee haw i watch joseph cuck anderson and regurgitate his points
The question is if it's worth a worse first play for replayability or do you want to maximize first play through experience? For me, I want the best first playthrough as possible.
Haligtree is an IQ check. There's so much verticality and alternative routes to get backstabs and fight strong enemies 1 on 1.
Dark Souls 2 had a great NG+
Probably the best out of all of the souls games.
Right here.
I like Haligtree but holy fuck the HP bloat is insane
I'm playing through it again, but I'm kinda noticing that I didn't enjoy most of my first playthrough. There were high points for sure, but most of it was just either boring(galloping around and killing fodder) or infuriating(dealing with overtuned bosses and getting two shot by them)
I was planning my playthrough and I noticed it involved ignoring most of the content, and that immediately triggered a red flag for me. Why the fuck am I replaying a game where I actively want to avoid most of it?
It's the first souls game that I can't replay. It's just too big and filled with meaningless shit.
Even after the 20th playthrough I have fun in DS1.
Post-capital is infamous for people straight up dropping the game
>Be a SoulsBorne veteran
>Play Elden Cringe
>Meet D
>D tells you how to teleport to a really high level place where the mobs can be staggered super easily anyway
>Everyone gives like 1k souls each
>Suddenly you are level 35-45 just for exploring that easy as fuck place without bothering fighting the giga big shit like the dragons, gargoyles, tree sentinel, etc.
>Vigor is at 46 already
>Haven't even fought Magrit yet
Fromsoft thinks this is good design?
There is no incentive to replay any game honestly. Never have. Never will.
kek yeah I should do that come to think of it, just powerlevel to shit by slapping the enemies there and then go fight Margit at level 150
What do you mean? Playing the game like a pussy and cheesing it by overleveling is within purely your own choice and has nothing to do with Fromsoft's intended design.
>and have no fun whatsoever
Only if you're garbage at the game.
H scenes are activated on new game plus.
You have to be kidding me. The area is filled with enemies that have projectiles, group fights where you can't roll, dancing on a twig will kill you in almost all cases, routes that are faster have ants that will gangster style shoot you simultaneously and kill you in one go, baits that have enemies around the corner, zombie spam, homing projectiles, group fights on small areas, condition spam and probably more. You are a dense fangirl.
You can be all builds in 1 go with Godrick Rune & Radagon Sacraseal/Soreseal anyway. Sure you don't get the end game level spells but you get all the early game ones very easily.
You can save up like 30 levels with that shit. It's retarded powerful, they really wanted to casualize the game. It makes any build be able to be a jack of all trades and in single player that is overpowered. You can be a DEX fag with bleed weapons or frost that can become invisible to make all the overworld before fighting a boss even easier.
Or you can just use Unseen Form become invisible and it's easy as fuck.
>>D tells you how to teleport to a really high level place where the mobs can be staggered super easily anyway
Did you think about why he allowed you to teleport there rather than making you walk?
also since you grind souls, you didn't beat the game
for 35-45 you'd have to kill like 80-180 of those little motherfuckers so don't give me no shit of "nonono I didn't farm souls :)"
What's that?
When the inevitable DLC comes out. Outside of pvp cultists/content creators there's no reason to do anything else aside from your own challenge runs or to start fresh for some reason. You're better off doing ng+ and respec your stats because upgrading the flask and getting all the items that let you buy upgrade stones is a fucking pain in the ass. Even with the wiki open and knowing exactly where to go it's gonna take some time, and again aside from making some retarded shit for a pvp video there's no fucking point to collecting shit you need for instant minmax.
I'd say elden ring is good for challenge runs if you want, plenty of shit to use to do a "___-only" playthrough and such.
Even if ER takes 150 hours to complete the first time, on a repeat run you can sprint to your main relevant locations to get your fav gear, spells, fashion, NPC quests and get most things done in 5-6 hours.
It's not unlike DS1 and DS2 where the world was mostly open from the start and you could do the 4 lord bosses in any order.
Hell, I had a bunch of low SM twink characters kill Dragonrider, buy the cat ring, then went to Rotten and entered Shulva 30mins after character creation to get a bunch of cool weapons and rings from there.
Why do you fucking faggots have to keep making new threads for this game? We can't have threads for shit else cause you dumb niggers keep pushing them off page 1.
This game is worth at least 3-4 runs of the 4 main builds, STR, DEX, INT, FTH.
Sure, you can respec at the end but you don't actually get to do much except shoot all the spells at endgame enemies.
Bloodborne and DS3 aren't a boring slog
Neither is Elden Ring, your point?
I enjoy the gameplay and the first half of the game is genuinely great. So I think on subsequent runs, I will just treat Leyndell as the final zone and Morgott or Sewers Mogh as the final boss. I don't see any reason why I would ever want to go through Heligtree and consecrated snowfields ever again in my life. It's just a genuinely miserable experience, void of any fun.
This game is artificially difficult. They use the fact that you can grind souls in the open world as a clutch to make objectively bad boss fights. Margit's attack patterns are worthy of an endgame Bloodborne boss fight in and off themselves, but on top of it he has Orphan of Kos tier HP with respect to your current damage output. No one actually designed this game. They just shat out numbers in a spreadsheet and then fucked off to rape schoolgirls with octopus tentacles before committing suicide or whatever nips do in their free time.
>The area is filled with enemies that have projectiles
So did you arbitrarily ban yourself from using bows/crossbows/throwing knives/kukris?
its fun
People were saying it had no replayability before he even dropped that video, retard.
>Create invader below the redditfag "muh 120 meta level"
>Invade
>Hosts hiding out of reach, virtually impossible to snipe, and calling infinite numbers of bluefags in
>Faggots that run across the entire map on foot just to inconvenience you
>DCs as soon as you kill their coop buddies and they can't summon more fast enough
switch to higher level character
>ganksquad ambush #8067
>bluefag summoned right as your about to die too
but hey...
>let me post webm of double-parrying a fingerprint shitter...
>!that will surely deboonk any and all criticisms of this being the worst invading of nu-fromsoft games!
>Neither is Elden Ring
Fromdrones actually believe this, kek
>whining about margit
Yep, this is the full power of Yea Forums.
This is true, but those games are actually fun to replay through the content after doing that, whereas in this game the main content isn't rewarding or worthwhile at all to plow through.
This is a good thing though, being able to go to later zones earlier expands your early game options and allows you to go through the game in a less linear fashion, it's one of the things that was better about dark souls 1.
Also, you clearly sat there and farmed tons of those fuckers for souls, and it's not even the best way to farm souls, of course you made the game easier for yourself.
>beat the game in 150h
>ng+ is such a cakewalk you can beat it in 5
Put the phone down.
>>Hosts hiding out of reach, virtually impossible to snipe, and calling infinite numbers of bluefags in
I mosty invade un dungens.
>Faggots that run across the entire map on foot just to inconvenience you
I have a repeating crossbow for that.
>DCs as soon as you kill their coop buddies and they can't summon more fast enough
That's ok, it's still a victory since he'll get banned from offline with that character for ~10 DC in a 24 hour timespan.
>bluefag summoned right as your about to die too
I'm used to 3v1 invasions from DS3, blues are a nice source of heals.
why are the servers so shit? I love invading but half the time it's connection error, the other night I had 6 connection errors in a row. I don't remember DS3 being this fucking bad whatsoever
wheres the incentive to replay any game
Nobody gives a fuck about what you think, this game allows anybody to trivialize it very early on. your game sucks. eat a dick.
Easiest From game to date.
So that shit is out of the window you cannot even praise it for it's difficulty objectively it isn't high.
>Dark souls 3 too linear, this is bad!
>Elden ring too open, this is bad!
Okay
Get good, little fucking bitch.
The towns and quests
If you think ER has "boring slog" components, then you must also think that the entire middle part of DS3 is a slog. Not to mention almost all of the town shit in BB.
>margit's attack patterns are worthy of an endgame bloodborne boss
what the fuck is this kind of cope, unironically
It literally has the most replayability out of any Fromsoft game for normal people. The only people who replay Dark Souls are autists who feel a sense of security from playing through something that is completely familiar to them and the only people who replay Sekiro and Bloodborne are speedrunners. Elden Ring is the only Fromsoft game with so much content, build variety and so many hidden things that your first couple of playthroughs will be a vastly different experience.
you will never be white
Phone chud now triggered beyond belief. As expected, lol.
Not at all, the main dungeins and bosses are very fun.
And even a bunch of catacombs and caves have good loot and fun bosses.
I went to the Duelist with the 2 hammers and beat him with only parries on my 2nd char.
The only things that's a slog is combing the map for every secret/dungeon/item/NPC.
But that only happens during your first run.
After that you don't need to obsess over every single titanite on the world map, you know where the bell bearings are, you can just buy them.
Margit is not that hard. Hell, Morgott is one of the easier shardbearers, he's only harder than Godrick and Rennala I'd say.
If you have to willingly stop yourself from overleveling then thats just poor game design
Okay, let me break this down a little more easily for you. Margit isn't insurmountable, but he is a microcosm (and since I know you need this: microcosm means a small situation that captures the characteristic of the whole. Think of a food analogy if that helps you!) of the retarded fucking roll bait metadifficulty in comparison to the previous games actual difficulty. I can't break it down much more simply without puppets and crayons.
This is not cope. This is fact. They nerfed the shit out of parrying, which you could do to the orphan of kos. They made every boss go out of its way to bait you into rolling early, which is something they didn't do until Maria/Kos. You can like Elden Ring, but you can't deny the facts I'm pointing out.
I'm this autistic about this with every game that has respec, my thing is to avoid respeccing as much as possible unless its a first playthrough and I have managed to completely fuck up my build. Otherwise, I start from the beginning with a new playstyle. I guess ARPG's like Diablo and Path of Exile has done this to my brain where I want to get the buildup and progress in my character development.
You can already get 1K souls per enemy from Stormhill just 2 shotting the Trolls with charged attacks on their legs then riposting their face.
>the host reeling back from the blocked hit half a second after the sword made contact
I will never understand how people can enjoy this laggy shit
ER objectively has the most difficult boss fights in any fromsoft game. Obviously if you overlevel, anything becomes trivial, that's the exact same in any other Fromsoft game too. If anything, even overleveling doesn't help you much in the late game zones in ER, because the enemies there are designed to melt characters with 60 vigor.
would
I wasn't even that dude. Just calling out low quality phone posters from reddt.
Okay. How is that any different from literally any RPG ever made? Unless it has some shitty level scaling system, you can play any RPG by overleveling like crazy. You certainly can play any Fromsoft game that way. So they all exhibit the same poor game design.
