I tried Novel and the generation is just garbage compared to uncensored Dragon. I can't fucking go back after seeing that, it was like the future but it only lasted a week.

How has it changed and is it still available in it's purest form?

NovelAI is decent enough, it's not as good as AI dungeon during the peak, but you can do whatever degenerate stuff you want once you learn how to guide the AI

So at this point if I wanted to experience the fun of the original AI Dungeon what's my best bet?

Just wanted to know which AI thing to use nowadays but the thread keeps on pointing towards NovelAI.
The consensus seems to be that while it is free of censorship, its not as powerful an AI as AI dungeon's prior to its neutering

NovelAI, it's close but a lot harder to get rolling.

That's pretty much it bud, NovelAI is the only alternative, and while it's really quite good once you get it going it doesn't have that start-and-go magic pre-cucking that A.I dungeon had.

AI dungeon used to be a lot better, unfortunately in addition to the censorship, the AI model they use got cucked, so even if you didn't care about using it for lewd stuff, theres no real advantage to using it over Novel.

Can't anymore but it's just a Python Application, there's no magic and you could just install it locally to run, originally the dude provided the application himself but took it down when people forked it in total compliance with the license he licensed his code under.

"Got cucked" is severely understating what's wrong with it. Everything they did behind the scenes was bad, but the real reason that you shouldn't be using AI Dungeon now is that it simply fails at doing what it's meant for, producing barely legible nonsense at about the same level as old Talk To Transformer.

Kinda. It works in safari just fine and they optimize for it as well, but they don’t have an app cuz they’d get kicked from the store. Don’t know about android or other browsers.

i do not believe operation requires the "generation" and "disposal" of 99% junk product
i think of it more as a field of mirrors that can all be instantenously re-oriented

was it a "waste" to spend thousands of hors installing/tweaking/programming all the Mirrors? well yea it sucks and actually has to be done quite often

but actual operation of a Neural Network is NOT slow by any standard - training it is the terrible part

but the run down is this: you can input .txt files of stories you made or made in novelAI and you can make a "module" off of it, which the AI in turn can use to create stories based off of that story you fed it. The amount of "steps" you get allows you to train stories better or something idk i've never actually looked into this.
