I couldn't get pirated vns to run with steamos without wine and even then video playback didn't work with it. I need the windows dualboot for other stuff too like being to able to use my drawing tablet in a real program. Just nice to have a dualboot for any compatibility stuff especially since you can just run games of the sd

I never complained to begin with, all I did was state the current situation with the Steam Deck.

I said months ago that we'd see people install Windows on Steam Deck just for games that run on Linux. I was shitposting but I guess it came true. lol

at least its alot less wide-spread than i feared,i feared that everyone was going to use windows-only and e-celebs would shill it,but it seems most are preferring steamOS,even in this case,the person is dual-booting.

The current situation is that it's very successful and reserved through the year, correct.

i already use linux-only on the desktop,so i'll admit im not the best person to ask,but its probably for few reasons. (i'll try to be generous,but im human,im probably going to sound like a condesending dick,not much i can do about it cause im tired rn)

Yep, definitely can't run well on Linux. Blender works marvelously though. But yeah, I think the best way to deal with the situation is to get dual-booting working and then people will have the best of both worlds to choose from should they choose to put in the work to get that setup working.

Bluetooth devices usually have their own onboard soundchips so when using one the steamdeck audiochip isn't in use. The audio data is processed by the Bluetooth device, not the deck, the deck just sends it.

with newer versions of WINE,its actually getting closer to good,but some help from pixologic would be needed to make it work great,but as with many propretary devs,they will likely just say "linux is 1%,we won't help" and never help,especially when they know people will just bend to using windows,valve is the only exception ive seen.
what do you mean,for games,you should be all good,but certain productivity apps have problems.
you should be fine with stuff like spotify and shit running afaik,they have some ram reserved for the OS and shit,but it may east some battery life.
